Description

Reporting to the Professional Services Director of Project Management, the Manager of Project Management will be responsible for leading a team of project managers focused on customer implementations of our best-in-class products. The role will be responsible for providing day-to-day direction of the Project Management Office (PMO) and to a team of project managers as they navigate execution of implementation projects. They will use best in class project management governance and tools, customer service expertise, and alignment to the professional services charter to guide the project management team in executing these projects.

Essential Responsibilities Include

  • Manage and mentor a team of project managers responsible for a diverse set of customer implementation projects
  • Establish and execute governance over a portfolio of projects to ensure they are executed with high customer satisfaction
  • Participate in refinement and evolution of the PMOs standard operating procedures to meet the needs of a diverse customer base
  • Work cross-functionally at all levels of the organization to identify and implement improvements to our project management capability
  • Coordinate with a set of cross functional stakeholders including sales and customer success to support scoping and pricing of new opportunities
  • Oversee and drive key utilization metrics
  • Perform quarterly performance reviews, facilitate career planning, and develop professional improvement plans



Factors for Success

  • 3+ years of experience in program, project, and portfolio management in a professional services team within a SaaS focused organization
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal/team effectiveness - ability to succinctly and accurately communicate to various levels of leadership and employees
  • Excellent decision making skills including the ability to negotiate and balance decisions and manage competing priorities across multiple functional areas
  • Experience driving change management initiatives across a team
  • Ability to influence others by working collaboratively at all levels in a matrixed environment to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic, planning, organization, and time management skills to effectively execute project plans and budgets
  • Clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities of cross-functional project teams and the broader matrixed organization
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline or equivalent on-the-job experience.
