What will your day look like?
You will be responsible for ensuring that Alliant's programs and projects are planned, managed, and governed in a consistent, transparent, and disciplined manner. The position requires an experienced program management professional with the right mix of relevant experience and skills, an ability to flex between the strategic and the tactical, outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and a high level of energy and flexibility to get things done and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented product development environment. The Manager, Project Management Office will be a program management leader who embodies Alliant's leadership principles of leading by example, communicating openly, enabling and inspiring others, exceling with partners, acting decisively, and collaborating effectively.
In this role, this individual will manage a team of Project Managers and partner with Product Teams utilizing the Scrum Framework to deliver critical, customer facing, enterprise software development projects to our production systems. This role will lead efforts to improve our processes, making our teams highly productive.
As the leader of the PMO, you will foster collaboration across business and technology organizations, providing sound analysis and change leadership. Building and maintaining strong internal customer relationships is essential as this position will work with Business Partners, internal staff and system integrators on a daily basis to ensure delivery of quality products in alignment with enterprise initiatives and requirements across the company.

The ability to work across functions and teams will allow him/her to ensure alignment of priorities and goals, drive results and foster a culture and environment to achieve excellence and innovation.
The individual must have the ability to understand, conceptualize, and model effective and efficient business processes that drive employee and member advocacy. The role is responsible for leading and coaching his/her team to drive performance, individual development, engagement and retention. General direction is received from the Director, Technology Strategy & Portfolio Management.
Responsibilities

- Ensure the successful implementation of the PMO's strategy, responsibilities, services and deliverables
- Provide and monitor project and program reporting to ensure that there is clear and consistent communication on status and assist the team in reporting to Senior Management and stakeholders
- Establish frameworks, templates and standard for the Program Management Office
- Ensure cross -functional dependencies and managed and tracked throughout the project lifecycle
- Fully leverage relationship management skills to successfully execute required project initiatives
- Promote cooperation, negotiation and communication among and within teams; provide consulting services for internal customers, team members, business partners during the planning, design, execution and implementation of Portfolio initiatives
- Provide guidance and support in preparation, development and analysis of reports, metrics, presentations and dashboards for executive presentations, organization wide meetings and other forums
- Responsible for developing and managing the process for delivering project and program initiatives that meet all information security, compliance and organizational policies
- Allocate team resources and monitor deliverables to ensure client needs are met successfully and in a timely fashion
- Manage the project pipeline and direct work assignments for Project Managers Demonstrate agile expertise with functional-technical-operational processes
- Identify and implement process improvements for the team. Lead and enhance portfolio & project management best practices and tools.
- Partner and maintain regular communication with key stakeholders to ensure each project is successful
- Develop the methodology and metrics to measure the value of project portfolio spend and return on investment for the organization
- Create and maintain portfolio reporting and dashboards for the organization's use
Leadership/Performance Management

- Champion Employee/Internal Customer Engagement, employee development and all cultural hallmarks through a strong leadership signature and a growing command of Alliant's leadership competencies
- Continually assess and provide discerning development, insightful coaching and talent utilization/optimization for direct reports
- Apply High Performance Management practices in leading an engaged workforce in order to effectively leverage the full potential and talent of this function
- Provide a structural and consistent approach to ensure that individual development plans are in place, performance management is consistent, performance management process is respected and followed, and coaching and feedback are provided on a regular and dynamic basis.
- Work with your direct reports and help seek out growth opportunities for your reports; continually challenge reports to maximize their engagement and productivity
- Help propagate messaging across the organization that fosters a broader knowledge of Technology, promotes collaboration and influences constructive and positive change
Adhere to and ensure compliance of all business transactions with policy and process of the Bank Secrecy Act. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, company procedures and policies. Maintains integrity and ethics in all actions and conversations with or regarding credit union members and their accounts; complies with Privacy Act directives.
Qualifications

You'll be a great fit if in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Computer Science or a related field required; Master's degree preferred, and you have:
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience and demonstrated ability to lead and develop a highly effective team is required
- Formal training in or experience with agile methodologies and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Solid understanding/experience of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Certified Scrum Master and or Certified Scrum Product Owner is a plus
- Robust data analysis skills and ability to analyze issues, identify and implement solutions
- Ability to think creatively to identify ways to improve team success
- Strong hands-on capability and spirit of leading by example
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with employees at all levels within the organization
- Ability to influence without authority
- Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills and the ability to build robust cross-functional relationships
- Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical audiences
- Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience with large-scale complex technology projects
- PMP Certification is a plus
- Strong understanding and expertise of portfolio & project management best practices and deliverables
