The Bids Manager will lead the drafting and submission process of bids and proposals for the sale of Amplify curriculum and services! They should exhibit strong project management and writing skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to generate creative ideas while working both independently and collaboratively. The successful candidate is expected to be a self-starter, multitasker who works well in a fast paced environment, and follows through on tasks and leads all aspects of projects end to end. We are looking for a strong team member who leads by example and keeps the team informed of changes.
Responsibilities of the Manager of Bids & Contracts:

  • Plan, research, develop, and edit complex content for assigned proposals in response to customer solicitations
  • Monitor for relevant competitive procurement opportunities, managing the bid opportunities pipeline and circulating opportunities to the appropriate key partners
  • Lead internal calls with product teams and sales representatives to discuss potential bidding opportunities and plan the drafting process once an opportunity is approved
  • Ensure win themes and key differentiators are included in bids
  • Regularly support the Contract workstream providing support for execution of contracts when required
  • Act as the central point of contact on assigned proposals, and lead and guide the work of the Bids and Contracts team
  • Maintain, augment and improve library of reusable components, templates, and processes to reduce response time and improve quality on future bids
  • Coordinate the digital and physical submission of bid documents
  • Report to the Senior Manager to provide updates regarding ongoing projects


Basic Qualifications of the Manager of Bids & Contracts:

  • BS/BA degree, or equivalent in relevant experience
  • 2+ years' experience with RFP responses and/or large-scale grant applications
  • Experience working across organizations with effective communication, leadership, and project management skills


Preferred Qualifications of the Manager of Bids & Contracts:

  • A passion for K-12 education
  • Approaches work with keen attention to detail
  • Excellent writing, grammar, and spelling ability
  • Excellent presentation and written/oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a deadline-conscious, results-centered environment
