Role Description

Reporting to the Leadership & Employee Development Manager, this role will be responsible for the overall strategy, design, and execution of our global Dropbox employee development initiatives. This includes ownership of the global onboarding experience, IC capability building, and Virtual First training. This role will work closely with others across the organization including team leads, HRBPs, HR Operations, security, legal, and functional learning partners to drive seamless and impactful learning experiences that reinforce our values, drive connection and community, and build key skills for success. 

Responsibilities

  • Strategy: Develop our new hire (Droplet) and employee learning strategies and curriculum in alignment with organization priorities and Virtual First context
  • Instructional Design: Leverage knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design to build compelling and impactful learning journeys for all Droplets as well as ICs
  • Facilitation:  Leverage facilitation skills to lead high-impact, effective, and engaging learning experiences for new hires, employees and managers.  Grow into a larger facilitation role including team effectiveness workshops and leadership development
  • Execution: Drive seamless execution of our onboarding experience and employee development programs from start to finish, partnering with HR Operations and the Learning coordinator for more procedural items
  • Partnership: Work collaboratively with functional onboarding leads, stakeholders across the organization (security, legal, etc.), and HR Operations to ensure that on-the-job onboarding is seamless and feels like a unified experience
  • Vendor management: Partner with employee development vendors to maintain our relationship and stay up on the latest offerings; partner with the L&OD budget owner for planning and budget utilization
  • Engagement: Build a sense of connection and community for new Droplets and all employees
  • Technology: Drive adoption of the Enboarder tool to ensure a seamless onboarding experience. Leverage digital learning tools such as Rise, Vyond and Fuse Universal to create impactful learning paths and a holistic, scalable learning experience that can support multiple sites
  • Continuous Improvement : Track and report on key metrics to measure effectiveness and impact of Dropbox’s onboarding and employee development programs. Collect ongoing feedback to improve learning experiences and programs
  • Culture Ambassador: Act as a role model, driving cultural assimilation and our values in everything you do

Requirements

  • You have a minimum of 5 years in learning & development or as an onboarding program lead
  • You are passionate about employee engagement and culture
  • You have a passion for learning and development and are a continuous learner yourself
  • You are a creative and innovative thinker and able to generate ideas and impactful outcomes
  • You have strong facilitation skills and can easily engage an audience
  • You have exceptional project management skills and possess both operational rigor and a detail orientation
  • You are comfortable with learning technology and on-demand learning to enhance, support and track the onboarding experience
  • You are organizationally savvy and can leverage cross-functional relationships to drive to key outcomes
  • You have fantastic relationship-building skills to help connect with new employees and also work collaboratively with partners across the organization
  • You are comfortable in a dynamic environment, and can balance setting long-term strategic priorities with high-quality, tactical execution
  • You possess a “can do attitude” and a problem-solving orientation
  • You have excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills; you are able to package and present complex analysis and recommendations clearly
  • You utilize qualitative and quantitative data in order to inform and improve your programs
  • You are agile, fearless, and able to adapt to shifting priorities
  • BA/BS required
