Summary of Role:

This position will be responsible for working with the PMO and business teams to identify and execute infrastructure projects and requirements. Understand the needs of the business, translate to programmatic and technical requirements, identify how to extract the data and execute upon that extraction.

Build Business charters, project management plans, schedules, RAIDS, and other artifacts according to assigned projects and business needs.

Working with Portfolio and Program managers, the Project Manager will be responsible for the project's compliance with PMO methodologies, processes and tools and follow PMO best practices

Responsibilities:

Work with business team and technical teams to understand their function and program

Understand the business team's requirements

Plan the and define projects and oversee the project team

Manage project budget

Secures acceptance and approval of deliverables from the Project Sponsor, Steering Committee and Stakeholders

Coordinates and manages the team's performance of project tasks, ensuring integration of all project work with focus on creation of project deliverables and work performance information

Responsible for risk management, and escalation of issues that cannot be resolved in the team

Ensures project is delivered within budget, on schedule and within scope

Responsible for ensuring that the Project Team completes the project as per agreed upon scope

Responsible for management of project process

Comprehensive project plan via joint planning with the Project Team

Responsible for ensuring the plan is created and maintained in the PMO PPM tool

Coordinates and manages the team's performance of project tasks, ensuring integration of all project work with focus on creation of project deliverables and work performance information

Responsible for communication including status of project health

Responsible for risk management, and escalation of issues that cannot be resolved in the team

Responsible for managing change requests and documenting decisions

Manage project via PPM tool sets (Project Online, Planview) and reports

Education:

Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
