The Challenge
Join the Smart Home Solutions design team & help develop the next generation of high-end, consumer friendly connected appliances. The IoT Software Project Leader will develop and own the GEA Smart HQ SDK (Software Documentation Kit) documentation and work with external companies integrating our connected platform into their products.
What you will Do
- Develop the Documentation for the GEA WiFi Connected Platform.
- Support external companies integrating our WiFi Solution into their products.
- Develop certification process to ensure products utilizing GEA WiFi solution meet expectations.
- Create a centralized repository for documentation and source code modules for GEA WiFI Platform.
- Develop expertise in the GEA WiFi Platform for connecting products to the cloud and software update process.
- Analyze Product and Cloud Data to help troubleshoot issues with products developed by external companies.
- Work closely with GEA Software Engineers to keep documents up to date.
What you need to Succeed
Required
- B.S. Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years Software Development experience
- Strong project planning and project leadership skills and experience
- Experience developing or working with Software Development Kits (SDKs)
- Experience writing software technical requirements
- Experience working with global software development team
- Experience working with Connected Products
- Experience Programming in Embedded C
Desired
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work in a team oriented environment
- Software Languages: C++, Lua, Node, JS
- Experience developing in a Unix/Linux environment
- Experience with network protocols HTTPS, XMPP, MQTT, BLE, JSON, XML, REST API's
- Experience with serial communication protocols
- Experience developing software OTA upgrades
- Experience with IOT platforms such as AWS IOT
- Mandarin
