How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

Our Areas of Responsibility (AoR) system distributes ownership across the company & empowers everyone to completely own their areas of work. I have AoRs that apply to my core job responsibilities, but some that go beyond that as well. It’s a great way to collaborate with teams I wouldn’t otherwise work with and continue to gain new skills and knowl

How does the company support your career growth?

I've had the opportunity to take on many challenges, including taking our Asana Goals feature from a brand-new MVP to a category-leading product area. I've been nurtured to contribute to that as individual contributor, tech lead, and engineering manager, all while working with people who truly care about me and help me learn new things every day.

How do you empower your team to be more creative?

We believe that creativity is borne of autonomy and clear responsibility. We have a company commitment to taking and giving full responsibility. This means we like to be explicit about who owns what and what that entails. This empowers team members to be creative with their solutions because they own the outcomes.

What’s the vibe like in the office?

The ongoing support from my team and manager were essential for me working remote and onboarding virtually during the pandemic. We constantly checked in on each other and created an open environment where we could share ideas and have transparent conversations.
