Governance Project Manager
About the role
As a FSO Governance Project Manager, you’ll be joining our rapidly-growing Financial Service Operations (FSO) Team to drive new initiatives, contributing to the scale of new products and processes within our FSO Program Operations team. You’ll report to the FSO Governance Manager. You are the glue that keeps our projects together and passionate about strong execution. You will lead project initiatives within our FSO org, including internal and external partners, ranging from new product or feature launches, to issue remediation and operational improvements. You will be expected to ‘chime in,’ exercise creative thinking, and participate in collaborative decision making.
The ideal candidate is execution oriented, possesses strong program and stakeholder management skills, and has a proven history of working cross-functionally in a high performance environment. They are highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, and team-oriented with clear communication skills. They work autonomously and have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and ambiguous business environment.
This job cannot be performed in the state of Colorado.
In this role, you can expect to
- Develop strong, collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to strategically develop, implement and optimize dispute investigations processes, tools, and policies to achieve performance objectives while mitigating regulatory, reputational, and financial risk
- Champion operational excellence daily
- Anticipate, gather, and clarify requirements from Operations teams, communicate across teams to address silos
- Strive to understand the business problem/goals, ensure all parties are marching towards clear timelines,
- Use project management tools to provide regular overall project and task updates, proactively flag challenges, mitigate risks
- Own and lead multiple, simultaneous projects, managing key stakeholders. Oversee completion of deliverables, managing timelines and meeting milestones
- Partner with internal cross-functional partners such as Fraud, Disputes, Member Services, Analytics, and Legal teams as necessary
- Stay up to date with Chime’s current and upcoming products and features, and applicable laws and regulations.
To thrive in this role, you have
- A minimum of 3 years of experience of proven project management expertise, preferably in compliance or risk management, with the ability to adapt methods and techniques to support rapidly changing environments
- A self-motivated mentality with the ability to prioritize in demanding situations. Comfortable working with ambiguity and able to handle multiple priorities and projects, and achieve deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, have excellent problem-solving skills, and have great written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to operate with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them
- Experience using tools such as Asana, Monday.com, Excel, or MS Project to proactively track and manage deliverables, risks, etc.
- Experience working with cross functional partners and keeping stakeholders informed on project updates and challenges
