Job Summary

The Implementation Program Manager (IPM) is a critical role in the Operations Center of Excellence with the Global Workplace Solutions Team. This role has primary responsibility for overseeing the consistent successful identification, procurement, and implementation of furniture, branding, and way-finding of all global projects (as applicable), collaborating with the core regional networked teams to identify best practices and communicate them to the Global Program Management Office, and acting as the subject matter expert of the interplay between project delivery and design and experience.

This role will collaborate with the Program Management, Design, and Experience teams in developing and adhering to harmonized practices and process that drive consistent and scalable delivery of furniture, branding, and way-finding throughout the global portfolio. Furthermore, this role will develop procedures and associated metrics to ensure clear expectations and oversight for our vendor partner projects managers as it pertains to furniture, branding, and way-finding. This role will work directly with the core regional networked teams and Capability Centers to identify and address regional/local requirements/nuances that need to be integrated into the practices and processes toolkits/playbooks.

The IPM will drive consistency throughout the global portfolio through a regular cadence of meetings and engagement with the core regional networked team and design and experience team. This role will manage relationships between Operations, Experience, Design, Project Management, and the Regional Directors to ensure delivery of furniture, branding, and way-finding is on time and budget. Additionally, this role will collaborate with the Procurement, Capability Centers, and executive leadership in identifying and utilizing core strategic global partners to standardize the delivery of furniture, branding, and way-finding globally.

This role collaborates with the Workplace Capability Center, the Operations & Services Capability Center, and the Global Regional Teams.

Implementation Program Management

  • Act as the point of contact and subject matter expert for the core regional networked team, capability centers, and vendor project managers regarding delivery of furniture, branding, and way-finding.
  • Act as a "floating" Program Manager globally to assist regions that need additional support due to workload, complexity, and/or opportunity
  • Collaborate with the Capability Centers to develop key deliverables including standard operating protocols, process playbooks, standards and guidelines to be applied within all regions regarding furniture, branding, and way-finding in project delivery.
  • Work with the core networked regional teams to drive the adoption of Capability Center deliverables, identify legitimate regional variations and generate innovations and new ideas.
  • Disseminate thought leadership and provide guidance on application of furniture, branding, and way-finding across the portfolio as appropriate.
  • Drive training on new programs and concepts across the portfolio, specifically for vendor project managers and project delivery.
  • Measure compliance of adoption of new process, playbooks, and deliverables related to furniture, branding, and way-finding
  • Support Regional Leads and Capability Centers in developing service provider scope of services and KPIs in specific Capability areas as it relates to furniture, branding, and way-finding
  • Partner with other regional teams and the Program Management Office to drive integration and efficiencies across functions as it relates to
  • Well-versed in Program and Project Management strategy, process, and team building
  • Well-versed in Design Thinking and Strategy
  • Bring together the best practices across the portfolio core regional networked teams back to the Program Management Office and Capability Centers
  • Ensure project managers are adhering to the furniture, branding, and way-finding processes and report accordingly.
  • Works with the Program Management Global Lead (GPM) on Program Management team development and identifies and creates a best practices living document
  • Continuously collaborates across GWS disciplines to ensure consistency is applied to project management as it relates to furniture, branding, and way-finding
  • Use experience and expertise to innovate, challenge assumptions and communicates suggestions to the GPM to update or create practices as necessary to improve and standardize the process of furniture, branding, and way-finding delivery
  • Anticipate potential obstacles and develop contingency plans to address, offering support as necessary to support the project teams
  • Proactively network and build relationships with the community resources to support the goals and evolution of the regions and Program Management Office, innovating where possible
  • Develop a set of tools to track projects, prepare team and stakeholder updates and coach teams on the storytelling aspects of the role
  • Seek colleagues from external networks to continuously learn their experiences and identify ways to strengthen the region and programs within the GWS organization.
  • Support regional Program Managers in the decision-making process for the regional networked team to confidently lead projects, aligning with stakeholders to gain support and alignment
  • Review and analyze program data to develop strategies to improve program performance across the portfolio (i.e., headcount/square foot, NPS scores, total cost to operate, etc.)
  • Review data requirement needed for project evaluation, implement process to facilitate its collection and communicate the importance of the outcomes with stakeholders
  • Build core regional networked, Design, and Experience teams tolerance for managing in ambiguity through clear process, strategy, and communication
  • Develop a feedback loop on lessons learned from previous work to inform best practice on going and report back to Global Program Management Office and Design and Experience Capability Centers
  • Establish checklists for regions regarding cultural elements, federal, state, country regulatory requirements as applicable to furniture, branding, and way-finding.


Capability Center Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Use data and results from delivery to identify areas of improvement and identify solutions to address
  • Support regional team members ingenerating new ideas and innovations, transforming ideas into scalable actions and report back to Global Program Management Office
  • Drives continuous improvement by encouraging standardized processes across the portfolio
  • Take a lead in identifying, practicing, and communicating best practice to the regional core networked teams and Program Management Office and Design and Experience Capability Centers
  • Conduct external research and identify leading practices that are opportunities across the TCCC portfolio


Communication Complexities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain technical matters to non-technical staff and to interact with executive management
  • Ability to collaborate with high performing teams, including a highly outsourced integrated organization. Ability to drive operational excellence across the globe and foster continuous improvement. Ability to provide guidance and training to team members on new concepts and ideas as it relates to furniture, branding, and way-finding.
  • Ability to develop business cases and presentations that effectively communicate strategies, financial analysis, assessments, and roadmaps to achieve objectives. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations leading to decisions on complex topics to employees, clients, executive management and/or public groups. Must be extremely effective in managing through company culture and influencing change through multiple channels and approaches.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business data, documents and develop advisory/problem solving, brainstorming, virtually and in person. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Relationship building through superior communication skills is highly relevant to maintaining mutually beneficial client relationships and trust.
  • Negotiate and provide counsel to all stakeholders, to identify solutions.


Analysis

  • Ability to analyze data across diverse regions, identifying differences that can be legitimately rationalized based on local needs, culture, etc. Ability to conduct comparative analysis and drive insights from data.
  • Focus on driving continuous improvement within the Program Management Office and Design and Experience Capability Center that is informed by data and performance within regions, as well as external leading practices.
  • Ability to comprehend, analysis and interpret complex business problems and drive effective real estate and workplace solutions.
  • Ability to balance the needs of the group with the TCCC enterprise and the fiduciary responsibility of GWS.
  • This role must collaborate with the core networked regional teams and vendor project managers globally to develop transformational approaches to solve problems related to the workplace and identify, study, and resolve the associated issues and barriers to keep initiatives moving forward and effectively mitigate/manage the associated risk.


Additional Information:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required, Advanced degree preferred with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • PMP is not required, but helpful
  • Background in design and delivery of furniture, branding, and/or way-finding is preferred
  • Highly self-motivated, experienced in strategic thinking and analytical skills
  • Comfortable managing in ambiguity and operates well in environments with imperfect information
  • Service oriented
  • Influence and negotiation skills
  • Experience in implementing large scale real estate initiatives
  • Experience in driving consistency via process, playbooks, and standards development.

  • International and/or Multi-national organizational experience
  • Minimum travel required is approximately 25%
  • This position will be working with all TCCC OU globally
