Please review the following job description:

Implementation, management and ongoing execution of the Truist Risk Frameworks as delegated and assigned by the second line of defense risk programs. Lead a team of professionals in the first line of defense, providing direction and guidance for aggregated oversight and governance for all risk types in the core areas of risk and controls.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Manage and ensure execution of risk programs for one business unit within Financial Management. This includes proactively identifying changes in personnel, products, processes, policies, operating systems, accounting practices, organizational changes, regulatory requirements and business environment which may impact controls across Financial Management.
2. Participate/lead assessment requirements for Compliance-RCSA, Operational RCSA, Key Risk Indicators, BTCM, Internal and External Events.
3. Drive communication between all affected parties to develop and implement appropriate controls for new processes, transactions, and products.
4. Participate in the planning and execution of walk through and testing for specific risk programs, including participating in SOX walkthroughs.
5. Foster relationships between Senior Financial Management Leader, peers, and Finance partners to ensure that common goals are met and that there is active collaboration between team members.
6. Coordinate with auditors (internal and external) and SOX Program Management to ensure adequate documentation of SOX controls and potential SOX deficiencies if applicable.
7. Facilitate reviews, change assessments related to business process, regulatory and organizational changes as well as issue management and remediation.
8. Design risk documentation maintained by Financial Management Risk Teammates in accordance with business or second line procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience
2. Six to Eight years of experience in operational/enterprise risk related management, including but limited to audit, operations, process engineering or risk management
3. Professional communications and presentation skills
4. Strong relationship management skills
5. Demonstrated leadership or management skills
6. Project management, consulting or management experience
7. Strong knowledge of SOX and other industry-related regulatory requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in Y9C, Call Report, 2052A regulatory reports
2. Big 4 Accounting Firm experi
3. Knowledge of Financial Management
4. Master's degree in related discipline
5. Financial Risk Manager (FRM)/Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) or equivalent advanced risk certification
