Overview

Our Finance Projects group works closely with Business Unit Controller teams across the globe, as well as with various partner teams across Finance, Operations, Institutional Equity Division (IED) & Fixed Income Division (FID) Business Units, and Technology on delivering strategic 'Change the Bank' initiatives. The team is also responsible for prioritizing issues and turning requirements into action points on a multitude of 'Run the Bank' processes.

The Finance Project Manager will be responsible for understanding Finance?s technological problems and challenges regarding product control and reporting for the Institutional Securities Group. The individual will work closely with our IT partners to support the production, enhancement and innovation of daily production functions. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving efficiency and risk reduction by utilizing automation. This role will require flexibility to manage multiple initiatives within challenging deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities:

- You will recommend solutions for enhancements within existing systems as well as designing and delivering quick solutions which can be self-supported after delivery.

- You will partner with various groups in driving projects to enhance controls, reduce risk, comply with regulatory requirements and improve efficiency to generate savings for the Firm.

- You will work on facilitating migration to strategic platforms, direct development, manage workflows and act in an advisory capacity in the implementation of new processes.

- You will develop a strong working relationship with various stakeholders including Finance, Business Managers and IT as you partner to facilitate development, testing and training.

- You will participate in global agile workstreams responsible for full project evolution from documentation to delivery and signoff as the custodian of change within Finance.

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualities:

- You have prior project management experience of complex projects, involving cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders.

- You have a willingness to take initiative to develop and improve processes.

- You have an understanding of SQL or Alteryx and relational databases, as well as MS Office development and integration (VBA, Excel and Access).

- You are results-oriented and have a strong track record of successful execution in a project environment, a strong drive to enforce change and influencing skills.

- You have strong written communication and presentation skills.

- You have the flexibility to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic and changing environment.

You have 5 years of relevant work experience in financial services.
