The Opportunity
If you have the desire to design, develop and implement strategies for field partners across the country to ensure that we provide development, communication, education, and support when we rollout strategic initiatives impacting MassMutual's advisors and firms you would be a welcome addition to our team. As a Field Readiness Consultant in our organization, you would be responsible for working with others in the Home Office and the field to define and execute on strategies to drive development and support key firm roles (Practice Development Specialist, New Business Coordinator, and Sales Assistant).
The Team
MassMutual Financial Advisors, Field Support & Readiness Team consists of highly motivated, readiness consultants who are knowledgeable about the field staff roles, how our field partners manage their practices, and in the areas of change management and program management. As part of this team, you will have the unique opportunity to utilize your experience and skills while learning how to apply them to projects that impact our field partners, specifically PDS, NBC, and SA). In addition, your role will be highly visible, enabling you to work with firm management, firm staff, and various roles within the MassMutual Home Office.
The Impact
As a Field Readiness Consultant within the Advisor Services division, you would be responsible for the development and delivery of our firm support strategy, an integral component of our field readiness approach. This role serves as a liaison between firm support staff, readiness, and our internal business partners and provides an organized approach to consultation, education, and communication to firm staff on strategic and tactical initiative and rollouts.
You will be responsible for the following:
Develop and implement the strategy to enable stronger readiness engagement for firm staff roles including how we communicate, train, and provide resources in support of both strategic and tactical initiatives.
Actively partner with readiness, training, and communications to support firm staff; contribute to the development, delivery, and implementation of detailed readiness plan/s to elevate field engagement for strategic and tactical initiatives.
Act as a liaison between the firm staff readiness and home office business partners to coordinate communication and execute on tasks and requirements as identified in readiness plans.
Work closely with firm staff roles (PDS, NBC, and Sales Assistant) to identify and pursue opportunities to improve the support model, propose means for improvement, and implement changes where necessary.
Collaborate with readiness leads, business sponsors and program/project managers to determine appropriate course of action and readiness activities to ensure the success of project deployments.
Be the end users' advocate by determining and driving decisions on readiness strategies and tactics.
Engage appropriate project and readiness resources (communication, training, marketing, etc.) and collaborate with the team through the coordination of all readiness activities, including change management.
Ensure a consistent deployment experience by utilizing proven best practice and standards.
Create detailed plans, drive execution, and provide status of planned activities.
Escalate issues/challenges appropriately, drive solutions.
Effectively communicate strategies, plans and status to all necessary and pertinent audiences.
Contribute to the continued improvement and definition of the team's readiness practice.
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of readiness project management experience, utilizing change management principles.
Strong working knowledge of field operations functions (protection and investment), processes, and systems.
Bachelor's degree or HS Diploma and equivalent experience.
Able to handle broad scope projects that are medium and/or large in size, complexity and with cross organizational boundaries.
Proficient in driving and determining project work, appropriate readiness activities, building a plan and making recommendations to business sponsors.
Strong organizational and relationship management skills
Ability to influence and negotiate
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Proficient project management skills
Capable of applying knowledge to handle complex problems independently
Ability to anticipate change and direct or redirect efforts if needed
Proficient in MS office, especially in Excel, with an overall ability to utilize technology to improve process efficiency/productivity
Experience utilizing technology to improve process efficiency/productivity (i.e., Brainshark, Teams, Zoom)
Ability to travel as required
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years with MassMutual
Experience working in the financial services/insurance industry
Experience working with financial advisors
Change management certification (i.e., ADKAR)
Location
Position can be based at our office in Springfield, Mass. or can also be Remote-US with occasional travel to our campus, as appropriate.
Salary Range
Salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 USD Annual. **Salary commensurate with experience.
