FC Analyst II – Optimization
Our Opportunity
Chewy is seeking a bright and curious FC Analyst II to leverage a wide set of technical and analytical skills to help us advance our reporting and analytics initiatives for entire fulfillment network. You will have the opportunity to drive the foundational operations metrics and reporting used by our leadership teams at all levels. In this role, you will work with financial and strategic data sets and investigate trends, developing intuitive views and dashboards that will play an integral role in the direction of the growth of our fulfillment centers.
What You'll Do:
The successful candidate will have solid knowledge on working with data visualization tools and is able to quickly debug issues in both SQL queries and dashboards. Day-to-day responsibilities will focus around performing deep-dive investigations into data questions and weaving those findings into an effective story to drive changes within the FC Network. This role will be responsible for developing fulfillment operations metrics and reporting, specializing in supporting our next generation fulfillment centers. You will also be responsible for taking analytic findings and working with stakeholders to implement the methods used within the analysis to drive analytic insight around the findings. This role is high visibility and high impact. Experienced candidate needs to be innovative and show proven ability to work independently on big projects. Good communication and collaboration are essential.
- A bachelor's degree in quantitative sciences including engineering, statistics, computer science, business with focus on analytics
- At least 2 years of related full-time experience in an analyst role working on a business team, preferably in e-commerce, supply chain, or warehouse operations
- Strong SQL skills, demonstrated experience with one or more BI Tools (Tableau, KNIME, QlikView, Qlik Sense, MS Power BI, Oracle BI etc.) and Intermediate knowledge of spreadsheet (pivot tables, lookup, advanced formulas etc.) are must-have
- Experience processing, filtering, and presenting large volume (Millions to Billions of rows) of data and applying performance tuning techniques
- Solid knowledge on using data visualization techniques in working with multiple data sources and dashboards
- Lead the design, development, testing and release efforts for new dashboards and enhancements to existing dashboards
- A solid foundational understanding of operations research and statistical techniques such as correlation, regression, time series analysis etc.
- Demonstrable success in interpreting data and analyzing results using statistical techniques and presenting findings to business partners across the organization, including executive leadership
- Ability to identify critical business problems and apply advanced analytics methodologies to poorly defined dataset to create analytical/modeling solutions
- Excellent technical skills and a strong passion for data analysis and investigation
- A self-starter mentality and ability to operate within a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
- Prior programming experience with R or Python is a significant plus
