Enterprise Scrum Master, Lead
Key Role:
Serve as the subject matter expert on Agile mindset and Agile practices. E nable the Scrum teams to perform at the highest level by instilling Scrum values and methodologies, including Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), coaching the team, removing impediments, and protecting the team from disruption. O rganize and facilitate program backlog management, Program Increment Planning meetings, sprint reviews, retrospectives, demos, and other Scrum-related events. Assist Product Owners and government technical point of contact with backlog maintenance, internal and external communication, improving transparency, and disseminating information. Maintain vehicles for transparency, including Jira, with accurate data so that reports and charts can be generated as needed. Draft presentations and produce reports for clients during and following Program Increment Planning meetings. Share Agile knowledge and best practices across the organization to maximize Scrum team performance and effectiveness and recommend changes and improvements to existing Agile foundational practices that will result in better or more efficient team performance. Coach teams, individuals, and the organization in collaboration, transparency, iteration, and being customer-focused. Provide guidance to scale Lean and Agile practices and understand the unique opportunities and challenges associated with facilitating and continuously aligning a large development program.
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience working in the transition of an organization from Waterfall to Agile
- 3+ years of experience working in an Agile environment
- 2+ years of experience as an Agile Scrum Master or Agile coach
- Knowledge of the Agile Manifesto, Lean Principles, and their applicability to IT system delivery
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or Computer Science
- ICAgile Certified Professional in Agile Coaching Certification (ICP-ACC) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) Certification
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience with delivering large or complex systems in a federal agency environment
- Experience working with and providing input and guidance to senior-level leadership
- Experience as a trainer
- Knowledge of a traditional IT domain, including requirements, design, development, testing, or deployment, preferred
- Ability to establish good working relationships with both technical and non-technical senior managers and directors
- Ability to explain Agile principles, practices, and values in both written and spoken formats clearly and concisely
