Job Description About the Emerging Team:
The JPMorgan Chase Emerging Talent (ET) team oversees a suite of firm-wide programs strategically selected to complement existing recruiting efforts within analyst programs, entry-level or experienced hire opportunities. Programs and initiatives welcome and create opportunity for cognitively, experientially and traditionally diverse talent that are often underrepresented in typical talent channels.
Role Overview:
The Emerging Talent Program Manager-Year Up will support JPMorgan Chase's partnership with Year Up.
Year Up is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to close the Opportunity Divide by ensuring that young adults gain the skills, experiences, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through careers and higher education. Year Up's intensive training program utilizes a high expectations, high support model where students learn in-demand technical and professional skills and apply them during a corporate internship.
Year Up is JPMC's largest ET program welcoming in 150-200 Year Up interns every six months across over a dozen US locations. Every LOB is participating which provides many different types of internship opportunities for Year Up participants.
Activities:

  • Effectively manage both internal relationships at JPMC and external relationships at Year Up
  • Prepare and deliver updates for senior stakeholders including LOB and HR leaders
  • Develop and deliver programming and enrichment activities for both interns and managers
  • Host regular check-in meetings with managers and key Year Up contacts
  • Support the development of key resources (e.g. toolkits, process documentation) for managers, interns, and LOB coordinators
  • Partner with Learning organization on orientation logistics for new ET participants
  • Complete the annual ET renewal process
  • Process and track invoices and ensure timely execution & payment
  • Maintain master files providing periodic reporting and metrics tracking for ET participants


Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with JPMC senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to build internal and external relationships
  • Passion for diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Ability to handle multiple requests and prioritize work as needed
  • Experience with end-to-end event planning and execution
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Critical attention to detail, organizational skills and follow through
  • Commitment to delivering in a timely manner
  • Advanced MS Office skills, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and team skills
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Ability to positively influence others
