The Services Project Manager (SPM) is a key role in the Elastic Services team. As a SPM you will assure Customer success by orchestrating the delivery of Consulting Proposals and the successful completion of projects.
The SPM provides immediate and measurable value to their projects. Costs normally associated with project management are more than recovered across the lifespan of an engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Own and lead selected, simultaneous projects and manage client expectations.
- Consult with clients to understand and analyze project objectives, scope, delivery expectations and timelines.
- Develop comprehensive project plans to monitor and track progress.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Assess projects risk, and involve all relevant stakeholders in ensuring technical feasibility.
- Oversee completion of deliverables and progress, managing schedules, meeting milestones, mitigating risks, managing escalations, and ensuring success.
- Collaborate with other departments and functions like Sales, and the Customer Success team, to contribute to offerings and proposals containing Elastic Services.
- Prepare client facing and internal collateral such as project plan, burndown, status reports and post implementation reviews
- Motivate, inspire and mentor project team members to excel and give feedback to project team and their managers
Qualifications:
- The SPM will need to lead and motivate others: Customers, Sales and Partners with the ability to think strategically. They will interface effectively with employees and customers of all levels.
- Strong experience in Statement of Work process, including Risk analysis
- Experience in project financial fundamentals
- Ability managing critical situations with business stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills, customer-centric attitude, ability to deal with cultural diversity
- Proven team player and team builder
- Loves to work in a fast growing and dynamic environment and is able to keep pace with constant change.
- Ability (and willingness) to travel up to 50% of the time to client sites.
Skills:
- 5+ years working as a Project Manager or Program Manager
- Certified ScrumMaster
- Experience in Agile project management methodology
- Excellent customer facing skills and ability to communicate to executives as well as other stakeholders at customer sites and within Elastic. Drives business and technical discussions.
- Clear, pragmatic, concise, timely, and accurate.
- Creates Project Management Plan, including project milestones/timelines, manages project hours and all project-related meetings
- Experience estimating effort and scope for services
- Experience with Salesforce and FinancialForce PSA, as a plus
- Fluent German or French, as a plus
