Director, Project Management

We are seeking a Director of Project Management to drive the overall project and program management function within Operations; providing leadership, coordination, strategic direction, and management of all PMO processes and functions. Working with a broad group of business, product and technology leaders, this individual will ensure prioritization and successful delivery of initiatives across the Operations team. Collectors Universe is experiencing tremendous growth, and to support this record volume and to achieve our long term objectives, we need to to build out new facilities and capabilities. These projects will include the optimization of new production facilities, reconfiguration, and optimization of existing operations, automation solutions, and supporting integration and integration of new businesses that come from organic growth or acquisitions.
This position reports to the COO and is based out of our California headquarters.
What You’ll Do
- Provide project leadership, management, and coordination amongst operations, Tech, HR, Real Estate, Finance and other cross functional, and 3rd party participants to accomplish optimization objectives through a defined timeline/critical path, active issue tracking, and meeting defined milestone dates
- Develop, monitor, and complete projects in line with opex and capex budgets, with a particular emphasis on the project development stage to maximize capital benefits while meeting operational and service objectives
- Develop and maintain project communication, meetings, documentation and status updates at the team, stakeholder, and executive steering levels
- Provide leadership and direction to the project management team to support business growth, with a focus on attracting, developing and retaining high performing talent and leveraging data to track and evaluate organizational performance
- Develop, maintain, and publish Ops multi-year, network capacity and optimization plan with input from operations, Business Development, Sales Divisions and Collectors Universe cross functional stakeholders
- Regular travel to Ops locations throughout the United States and abroad
Who You Are
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or other related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10 years of experience in Ops network engineering, program management, and operational support functions, as well as production systems and deployment
- Complex project management experience in Ops design/build/start-up and systems implementation
- Demonstrated success as a change agent, with both a willingness and ability to drive through influence and facilitate change
- Proven leadership ability and skilled at making forward thinking decisions to motivate, and build effective teams to maximize performance and effect organizational change
- Ability to travel regularly to sites across United States and abroad - travel will require the ability to stand and walk through operational environment for extended periods of time
