Director Of Customer Education

Esper has a rapidly growing customer base, made up of customers deploying one device, to hundreds of thousands. The Director of Customer Education will create and execute a best-in-class customer education strategy. This person will own customer education, technical docs, adoption and ticket deflection, starting with our self-serve developer audience. We’re looking for someone who will partner and work cross functionally with multiple teams including pre-sales, customer success, product and customer marketing.
What You'll Be Doing
- Establish and oversee Esper’s customer education programs by developing high-quality learning experiences leading to positive learning outcomes, customer product adoption, and retention. These may include: Support documentation, In-product education, Interactive demo experiences, Online courses, Instructor-led training, Certification
- Partner with Engineering to build a Docs writing culture.
- Develop a customer-centric, data-driven model for scaling customer education.
- Establish and promote industry-leading best practices around customer education.
- Learn and become intimately familiar with the Esper platform in order to empathize with customers and explore what’s possible.
- Work closely with internal teams to align priorities, collaborate on learning initiatives, and communicate results.
- Partner with the product team with requirements development, user case validation, and research that defines the future product roadmap.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- 7+ years of work experience in the customer education space
- Proven ability to connect with and educate a developer audience
- Experience creating education programs with a focus in online and blended learning
- Track record working with customer success and product teams, and partnering on customer retention and product adoption
- Track-record in developing innovative strategies that produce exceptional results
- Passion for web-based and mobile technology and knowledge of industry structure, trends and influential companies
- Experience managing and leading a high performance team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Domain expertise in DevOps, Hardware, SaaS, or Android
- Proven experience working in an evolving, high growth environment
