Pratt & Whitney's Digital Technology - Global Infrastructure Services team provides turnkey infrastructure solutions that enables our world-wide companies the ability to operate at a peak level of performance at all times. The Global Infrastructure Services Project Manager will be the main point of contact for all IT Infrastructure-related activities from discovery, design, procurement, configuration through site activation.

Other duties include but not limited to: network troubleshooting and optimization, data migration, International Trade Compliance (ITC), government security compliance, audit and audit remediation, green fields, divestitures, mergers and acquisitions. The position requires the individual to be well-rounded in information technology, have solid business acumen and be able to communicate across all levels of an organization.

The ideal candidate is responsible for managing all aspects of a project (cost, schedule, risk, quality of service, customer MFA) and see horizontally across all project disciplines from a holistic perspective.

This is not a typical Project Management role. The job requires interaction with global customers in varying time zones (Asia, Europe, Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, USA).

Travel is required.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct site survey and due-diligence needs-analysis, site preparation (systems, network, data centers) at P&W, Government or Commercial partner sites.
  • Architect IT infrastructure solutions ensuring designs comply with local laws, industry best practices, RTX and Pratt & Whitney policies and other tools to ensure security controls and data integrity.
  • Work with and be able to direct approved vendors and identify new vendors for product, software and world-class infrastructure services.
  • Be responsible for building out and testing the virtual computing environment including network segmentation (to include firewall rules), WAN / LAN, compute and storage requirements.
  • Execute to a project plan to deliver infrastructure projects on time and on budget.
  • Be a self-starter and able to work independently.
  • Fully document all work performed.
  • Work with business partners to design specific solutions that meet the needs of the local business.
  • Assemble service contracts with RTX and 3rd party vendors, procure computer equipment and certify end user tools and local hardware configurations.
  • Validate site readiness with every business discipline, establish and turnover and ongoing operational support model with local site and DT staff.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise applications (SAP, Solumina, Microsoft 0365) or comparable enterprise solution preferred.
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Strong time-management skills.
  • Manage many projects concurrently.


The position requires strong business aptitude and interpersonal skills to work laterally and vertically with all levels of management, outsourced IT partners, customers, security, compliance officials and other members of the DT organization. A strong desire to continue to learn and remain on the forefront of relevant technologies is essential.

Basic Qualifications:

  • You've obtained a bachelor's degree (required) in a computer science engineering discipline. Preferred fields include Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, Networking, Business Analytics, Engineering, or Business Management
  • You are a U.S. Citizen (required due to government contractual requirements)
  • You have four (4) or more years hands-on technical experience in installation, setup, and configuration of enterprise-grade IT infrastructure.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degrees preferred.
  • IT related technical certifications preferred.
  • Project Management / ITIL certifications preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow, or other similar ITSM Service Management tools.
  • Experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment
  • Project Management certifications with a history of delivering IT projects on time and on budget, and the ability to recognize areas for process improvement.
  • Excellent customer service skills required providing a high level of service to satisfy/fulfill internal or external needs accurately in a timely manner
  • Ability to communicate business needs and interpret high level business requirements, and liaise between business customers, technology teams and support teams.
  • Experience generating documentation, Standard work policies and procedures.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies & take on new projects to grow experience.
  • Ability to work in a high energy, fast paced environment, able to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Highly self-directed and able to learn quickly with a solid ability to drive and deliver results.
  • Strong analytical skills, demonstrated organizational and leadership skills, examples of effective teamwork, a track record of consistently meeting deadlines and due dates.
  • You're comfortable working with minimal daily supervision and to balance numerous priorities.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, in a fast-paced environment of rapidly changing demands.
  • Superb communication skills, written and verbal, with ability communicate in a clear and concise manner across various levels of the organization.
  • You're a great teammate with excellent judgment, interpersonal skills, cultural awareness and professional maturity.
  • Executive presentation experience and comfortable interacting with senior executive leadership. Lead, facilitate and manage change effectively.
  • You are comfortable working Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
