About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a Design Producer to help drive the future of our products, set strategies, and develop a culture of design-driven user experience. We have offices in San Francisco, Miami, Malta, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan, and while this role is listed in San Francisco, we are remote-first and believe in you working wherever you work best.

 

As a Design Producer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of design projects, identifying and mitigating risks to the project, handling dependencies, and tracking all issues impacting deliverables and schedules. This person will partner with the Design Manager to drive many concurrent design projects from ideation to delivery. They will guide each project through the design process and ensure forward momentum by tracking and reporting project status, seeking closure to open questions, identifying next steps and risks, and facilitating design reviews. They will serve as the liaison between Design and cross-functional teams.

 

What You’ll Achieve

  • Establish and maintain planning and resourcing processes focused on quality and consistency of design principles and brand

  • Build and manage production plans ensuring all team members understand project scope, roles, responsibilities, resources, deliverables, objectives, and milestones through to launch.

  • Partner with the Design Manager to identify appropriate resources needed, track individual assignments and responsibilities, and develop the milestones and running calendars to ensure timely and successful delivery of every project.

  • Drive workflows and manage all stages of the design process that is collaborative, creatively inspired, data-driven, and business-driven - clearing blockers, and escalating appropriately.

  • Advocate for quality by facilitating effective critiques and reviews, and ensuring prioritized feedback is represented in the work.
  • Own systems for project documentation, status tracking, and communication to ensure stakeholders and team members are involved at the right times, understand project health and decisions, and follow through on their commitments.
  • Establish and maintain a system for archiving final deliverables.

 

What We Look For In You

  • Experience in Project management and design production at a design consultancy, or worked as a Producer or Program Manager of an in-house UX/Product Design or Research team.

  • Expert organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and operate autonomously amidst ambiguity.

  • Ability to manage team analytics and capacity planning.

  • Experience working with Project Management software to manage the life cycle of a job (e.g. timings, milestones, approvals).

  • Understanding of the product design process, design execution and roles on a design team.

 

Nice to Haves

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Regularly look outward to identify opportunities for improvement and to incorporate advancements in methods and tools

  • Experience working with global teams across offices and timezones

  • Fluent in Mandarin
