As part of the RingCentral Strategic Events team, this position is an integral part of the Global Strategic Events Program and will be responsible for driving the success of RingCentral’s customer events.
This person will be responsible for driving scalable event experiences that drive overall growth and customer success. In addition to leading the planning process of our program, they will be required to manage the onsite execution of the events. They will need to act strategically while also executing tactically and be a natural problem solver with a strong attention to detail. This role will be challenged to push boundaries, propose and execute new ideas, and establish best practices.
This person will need to work effectively within a small team and be a strategic problem solver with strong written and polished verbal communication skills. They’ll obsess over details, display poise and sophistication in fast-moving situations, embrace ambiguity, and deliver results.
Key Responsibilities:
Driving the success of customer events that educate current and prospective customers and deliver amazing experiences around our wide set of products and solutions to capture interest and consideration for adoption of RingCentral’s technologies.
Partnering with Marketing and Sales teams, to plan a rolling calendar (12-18 months) of events that support the growth of our engagement with current customers.
Lead all aspects of an event from pre-planning, program development, speaker coordination, procurement of supplies and collateral material, on-site staffing, invoice processing and expense reporting, to post-event analysis and follow up
Sharing best practices across Sales and Marketing teams while continuing to adjust to support territory sales goals
Track event performance, including pipeline generation, acceleration and return on investment, and deliver post-event readouts
This position requires travel (approx. 30%) and the ability to lift 25+ pounds
Attributes/requirements
Minimum 5 - 10 years experience planning, executing, and measuring events and marketing campaigns of various sizes and scope, specifically in high tech products/services.
Analytical skills and ability to draw most relevant insights that accurately describe performance and impact metrics, and take action
Experience with event platforms (Swoogo, Bizzabo, CVENT, Chili Piper, JiffleNow, etc.) and mobile apps preferred
Deeply collaborative, you excel in fast paced, ambiguous environments.
Strong communicator with a proven ability to think strategically, but stay on top of tactical execution with a robust attention to detail.
Ability to navigate a global company and take initiatives to find creative solutions.
Exceptional organizational, prioritization and time management skills with the ability to effectively execute independently toward multiple, high-priority projects in a timely fashion.
