About the i18n Team
You’ll be joining the i18n Team to help us on our mission to create a diverse, fresh and inspiring library for Canva users. The i18n Team sits within our Ingredient Studio, this team ensures that Canva realises its goal to empower everybody to design and create with the highest quality elements that any user might need in their part of the world.
You will be working as an integral part of the team (at times we all collaborate on tasks to make them happen faster), as well as taking on unique projects to help us achieve our season goals.
About You
You have a love for organisation, timelines, you enjoy the challenge of juggling multiple projects and have a passion for creative management. You are a calm, approachable manager who exemplifies the Canva value of 'making complex things simple'. Ideally you will come from a tech company or a creative agency background with the holy trinity of creative, tech and project management experience.
What you'll do
- Oversee a program of work delivering creative solutions on time and to brief for our i18n teams
- Capacity to build strong contractor based teams across markets.
- Understand how to navigate legal requirements, labour laws and cultural differences to build the high performing teams across the globe
- Experience working remotely, across time-zones, locales and languages would be a bonus
- Partner with the i18n Team Leads to develop, and deliver, 'crazy big goals' that motivate the team to create extraordinary work that helps drive Canva's growth
- Partner with i18n Leads in guiding our creative teams to develop and deliver exceptional work that highlights the endless possibilities in Canva
- Collaborate with our stakeholders to ensure the creative team has sufficient time and resources to deliver exceptional work. Ownership, and leadership, of creative resourcing and capacity tracking
- Optimise team processes to ensure the i18n Design teams are operating efficiently, and happily, while delivering world class creative solutions

You'll love this role if...
- 3+ years of experience in a Project Management role with a creative studio, agency or tech company
- Experience prioritising, managing and tracking multiple projects simultaneously with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Able to talk to project management tools and resource planning with experience optimising team processes
- Experience working on a tech or digital product, with a broad understanding of the engineering environment
- You have the ability to interpret creative briefs and understand the resource and skills required to deliver exceptional, high quality work
- You love building relationships that lead to team success and business growth
- You are a people person who thrives in a team and collaborative working environments
Goals you'll achieve in your first 12 months
- Exponentially grow production capability across diverse markets
- Redefine foundational processes for the i18n and diversity squads
- Identify and troubleshoot pain points present in other team’s processes (i.e Photos and Graphics team)
- Develop strong communication lines between the templates team and your squad
- Develop strong communication lines between all Art Directors across the Ingredients Studio
- Build relationships with our i18n partners in the templates team
- Build prioritisation and growth funnel for all production
- Carry out necessary steps to get content produced/acquired
- Get content into Canva and showcase it/surface it where necessary
The day to day
- Work with direction from Creative lead and design team to manage projects
- Liaise with other internal teams (e.g. Templates team) to receive and action requests
- Work with team members and team processes to ensure relevant docs/trackers are updated
- Liaise with contractors to address questions they may have, ensure all admin tasks related to production and acquisition (contracts, invoices etc.) are up to date and complete
- Work within the appropriate team tracking (Google Sheets, Monday.com etc.)
- Help with financial administration, archiving and other administrative tasks
- Ensuring legal compliance across different markets
