Job summary
The Red Hat Information Technology (IT) Compliance team is looking for a Compliance Project Manager to join us. In this role, you will work within the IT Compliance team to support enterprise-level business controls and audit-related activities across the Red Hat's Enterprise Applications landscape. You will take ownership of a workstream within the overall initiative and use your project management and business analysis expertise to plan and deliver key project milestones within the workstream. You'll work closely with a cross-functional team across many business functions and regions within Red Hat. As a Compliance Project Manager, you will help define, analyze, and document business requirements, as well as develop project plans and processes and carry them out. You will set up and maintain a project plan and project manage the implementation of controls and process changes across multiple different regions and business teams within Red Hat. You'll manage your workstreams through the full project life cycle. You will deliver quality outcomes within budget and timeline and report on these outcomes and project statuses, while meeting the expectations of our stakeholders and executive sponsors. You'll need to be motivated to engage with fellow Red Hatters to guide and enable their success, agile in response to changes and needs of various stakeholders, and analytical in identifying risks, opportunities, and dependencies across the program. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities

  • Work in partnership with the program leads to proactively manage key deliverables for any compliance-related audits and business controls workstreams; regularly report on these activities
  • Identify deliverables within workstream tracks and reconcile key dates to the overall program plan to ensure on-time achievement and project milestones
  • Prioritize and manage activity and backlogs and upcoming planned activities in an efficient and effective manner; provide guidance and risk mitigation on priority tasks for the plan
  • Serve as a primary facilitator in presentations and meetings related to your assigned workstreams and take lead on identifying all appropriate stakeholders
  • Raise potential issues or blockers with stakeholders and provide mitigation options and requirements to resolve
  • Ensure that all deliverables and commitments meet quality standards and expectations
  • Provide flexibility in project management support, including waterfall and agile methods
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality in areas pertaining to data and proprietary information, whether internal to Red Hat or customer-specific


Required skills

  • 4+ years of relevant project management experience in a compliance or business control environment
  • Solid understanding of corporate functions and corporate IT landscapes
  • Comfortable operating in rapidly changing environments with an emphasis on deadline management and project ownership
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze complex business and IT-related scenarios to identify and communicate potential risk and to draw meaningful conclusions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience with technical documentation is a plus
  • Comfortable working with senior-level executives and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Project Management Office (PMO) and project tracking, reporting, and dashboarding experience
  • Expertise in leading technical demonstrations and creating content using a wide set of data and information from various sources
  • Expertise in creating project plans, schedule, and resourcing plans with project management tools
  • Experience with Tableau and creating executive dashboards
  • Adept at adopting new technologies for day-to-day work activities
  • Excellent communications, stakeholder, and relationship management skills

  • Bachelor's degree; master's degree
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) certifications
