Job Description

Position Overview:

As an Insignia Medical Systems (now part of Intelerad) Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a number of VDI projects where we are delivering remote desktop functionality for our NHS customers. This is to enable remote and shared reporting services to our Radiology users to improve efficiencies and improved patient outcomes.

The projects will be a mixture of on-premise deployments as well as a fully hosted solution servicing a consortium of NHS Trusts. These are highly collaborative projects between us and the customer, so as well as the technical requirements the successful applicant will need to evidence a strong project management skillset as well as excellent customer engagement experience.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the delivery of technical documentation

  • Own and deliver end-to-end Project Management

  • Plan work and set deadlines to meet the agreed deliverables

  • Work closely with the customer and internal resources to deliver the projects

  • Manage external and internal expectations for Project delivery deadlines

  • Work with other members of the Project Team to manage shared resources

  • Deliver projects on time ensuring quality standards are met

  • Escalate issues and delays as appropriate

  • Complete the necessary documentation including risk logs and product sign-off

  • Monitor and report on project progress

  • Work with third party suppliers and providers as needed

  • Highlight potential risks and act proactively to resolve issues

 

Each project will typically require you to manage:

  • Hardware procurement, installation and connectivity and configuration.

  • Technical design documentation

  • Solution integration and performance testing

  • End user testing

  • Third party management and integration

  • Customer Management

  • Transition and go-live

  • Service Transition

  • Full documentation and governance

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Membership, or eligibility for membership, of a relevant professional body


Skills and Experience

  • Possesses a strong background in Information Technology with experience in VDI technologies.

  • Confidence to work closely with the customer to enable delivery

  • 3 years plus of experience performing a similar delivery/implementation role.

  • Experience of building plans and project managing the milestones of software delivery through to implementation

  • Experience of effectively using a recognised project management methodology

  • Hands on experience with project management software, such as MS Project/Smartsheet

  • The ability to proactively manage dependencies and overcome obstacles.

  • Good influencing skills, and the credibility to promote solutions to our customers

  • Experience of deploying projects in a Healthcare setting would be advantageous

  • Excellent communications skills, with customers, team, and stakeholders

  • Excellent organization and time management skills
