What does a great Client Project Manager I do?

The Client Project Manager I works with Program Managers and clients to manage the delivery of High Complexity Projects or of Strategic Importance within time, cost, and quantity measures. They have built Trusted Business Relationships with client leaders and internal partners. Their clients rely on them to advise and Consult to ensure clear and upfront scope definition, best fit solutions, to mitigate and reduce risks and for fact based transparent health reporting. They are recognized internally and by their clients to possess point expertise in the field project management. They lead and coach Client Project Managers. This group is known for Client Service Delivery Excellence due to the consulting provided to clients as well as overall leading delivery teams to design and deliver high quality project solutions that meet or exceed client expectations

As a Client Project Manager I, you can look forward to:

  • Project manage and deliver High Complexity or of Strategic Importance Projects within time, cost, and quantity measures growing
  • Leads project planning including scope definition, resource planning, project plan definition and schedule development
  • Solicits and documents requirements clearly and concisely
  • Secures resources and assigns work to resources in coordination with Resource Managers
  • Manages hours expended and tracks against the HLE
  • Manages execution and coordinates the team in completion of the project plan
  • Monitors and controls project work reporting status to clients as defined by the communications plan
  • Executes the risk management cycle and manages project issues
  • Plans for and executes UAT testing in coordination with client
  • Partners client for launch planning including end user training, communications/marketing, and launch readiness.



Basic Qualifications for consideration:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, operations, technology or a related field required.
  • Or, demonstration of relevant experience.



Preferred qualifications for consideration:

  • 4+ years of experience in business and IT program and project management.
  • 2+ years of experience in the Financial Services Industry preferred.
  • Ability to represent technical delivery tasks to non-technical and\or business resources.
  • Shown success in effectively driving delivery
  • Working understanding of business financial practices and accounting
  • Demonstrated history of direct client engagement while delivering technology\software enhancements to clients.
    Additional Skills/Knowledge
  • Organized and ability to manage assignments in a fast-paced high velocity environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and adjust priorities quickly; highly adaptable to environment and changes in priority.
  • Ability to network, build relationships and indirectly influence other team members in support of your assigned objectives.
  • Ability to breakdown complex problems.
  • Ability to effectively navigate large organizations and work within defined process to deliver client results.
  • Ability to develop a strong understanding of delivery capabilities associated with the products that are supported.
  • Ability to achieve subject matter expertise for products supported, allowing the Project Manager, Consultant to provide direct product consultative support to Fiserv clients.
  • Ability to work with team in a highly collaborative environment; ability seek mentorship and be a mentor as needed.
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships with all clients; ability to become client partner.
