​Key responsibilities of the Business Execution Lead (BEL)

  • This person will be responsible for driving the Goal Deployment Program (GDP) within Digital Operations, aligned to MMSD
  • Responsible for architecting the data-driven program and implementation approach for Life DI Underwriting and New Business to achieve their multi-year revenue and service obligations to the new MMSD channel. ​
  • Extensive experience in Hoshin Kanri best practices
  • Extensive experience leading transformational business and technology programs / projects in a highly regulated industry
  • Six Sigma / Lean practitioner background
  • Ability to navigate between both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Highly collaborative
  • Strong communicator
  • High sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize multiple efforts and quantify risks, rewards and needs
  • Deep understanding of data - ability to understand, digest, capture and interpret data to drive true "data driven decisions"
  • Lead Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs) with Digital Operations and MMSD Senior leaders to demonstrate successful outcomes' responsible to develop all supporting communication materials, decks, and TTI reporting
  • Must lead the annual GDP plan review / goal-setting event, to include progress to date against the forecasted goals, and updated annual Targets to Improve.
  • Responsible to create tools, templates, and training materials to embed Goal Deployment / Hoshin Kanri, as well as a Lean mindset & CI, within the organization
  • Assume leadership of in-flight projects and drive to successful completion
  • Provide GD program leadership and management to ensure overall successful implementation of initiatives in a compliant manner
  • Develop comprehensive GDP Resource and SME support gird
  • Develop overarching Goal Deployment Program RACI
  • Develop and relentlessly manage GDP Risk Planning and Mitigation plan; raises issues and risks, as well as proposed solutions, and drive resolutions while transparently communicating to appropriate parties​
  • Deliver continuous improvement of operational performance and processes
  • Work closely with leadership on emerging initiatives to deliver & support business growth
  • Provide business expertise regarding process design/reengineering​
  • Create GDP Key Milestones Plan

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of overall industry experience with at least 2+ years of business/IT leadership, business unit leadership, or other functional leadership experience
  • College degree, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of senior program/project management experience
  • Significant six sigma experience with certification, black belt preferred
  • Significant experience presenting to senior leadership and engaging in business negotiations
  • Agile & Waterfall experience required, Scrum Master certification desired
  • Tangible Risk Management Leadership required
  • While this role does not currently have direct reports, a candidate with experience leading teams is a plus
  • Strong history of sound decision making
  • Self-driven, extremely energetic individual who has the vision of enhancing the new business and underwriting value chain for advisers, clients and operations
  • Understanding how to quantify and display business results
  • Experience in managing business engagements starting from building strong relationship with the various business leads to balancing a wide variety of priorities
  • Proven ability to apply financial insights and draw accurate conclusions from financial and other quantitative information
  • Assists in the development and definition of the business partners' strategy
  • Excellent communication, presentation, influencing and reasoning skills – ability to concisely tell a story clearly conveying the benefits, risks and action steps
  • Demonstrated leadership in coordinating initiatives across business and organizational boundaries, and building effective cross-functional teams
  • Ability to travel and work under periods of stress.
  • Authorized to work in the United States with or without sponsorship
  • Self-directed and motivated individual who is able to operate in a rapidly changing business environment
  • Significant emotional intelligence as a senior leader
  • Strong cross-cultural skills and abilities
  • Must have solid business fundamentals with direct, recent experience, and proven track record of success
  • Must have the leadership and communication skills to mobilize the internal organization for the efficient execution of MMSD GDP projects
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to devise solutions to their changing needs and requirements while integrating Customer requirements into internal actions; ability to effectively present to a broad constituency in support of GDP initiatives
