Employment Term

Part time contract: About 20hrs/week, duration: ~6 months

 

Latch is seeking a part-time contract Business Continuity Program Manager for a 6 month long contract. This position will develop, implement, and maintain business impact assessments, business continuity plans, and crisis management plans for operational resilience organization-wide. This position will also work closely with peers to build a best-in-class resiliency and crisis management program. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the company has prepared for possible events that could interrupt our business processes. You will work closely with multiple teams to ensure all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the life of the projects to address those possible events.  

You believe that a solid process foundation helps teams achieve their goals, and that clear communication is vital. You love working with all kinds of personalities and understand how different teams come together to deliver a quality product. You are very familiar with both the ways in which technical infrastructure can fail, and the kinds of approaches that can be used to minimize that impact (for example Disaster Recovery, or DR). You also know the ways in which business processes can fail due to outside events (Business Continuity Planning, or BCP). You know how to get teams and business stakeholders “bought-in” to help move a project forward. You have broad high-level business knowledge, skill sets, and understand how your role plays into overall business-wide objectives. You are innovative, extremely focused, and goal and people-oriented at the same time.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation of all phases of the Crisis Management (CM) and Business Continuity Program (BCP) lifecycle.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing an integrated Crisis Management program, providing subject matter expertise globally across Latch.
  • During critical events, assist with crisis response and facilitate crisis communication and coordination.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with leadership and teams across entities to coordinate and lead training and exercises for BCP.
  • Support and Assist with the Business Impact Analysis to identify critical business functions and dependencies.
  • Develops and maintains a business recovery plan and procedure; reviews revises and expands existing plans and protocols.
  • Develops and provides training on risk management.
  • Coordinate with Information Technology to define resilience requirements for critical business processes.
  • Coordinate exercise and testing efforts, including tabletop exercises, event response simulations, and after-action review
  • Collaborates with internal teams to develop and implement best practices to protect and restore data and systems in the event of a disaster. 
  • Coordinate with Information Technology to define resilience requirements for critical business processes.
  • Partner with functional leads to implement and maintain plans, report on metrics, and identify program improvements. This role will also partner with security in regard to audit requirements and generating artifacts.

Qualifications: 

  • 8+ years of Business Continuity experience within a Technical SaaS Environment
  • Ability to multi-task projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent strategic, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to think through hypothetical situations and concepts and to identify risks and weaknesses in various business processes.
  • Strong project management skills, learning emerging products and creating plans to support business growth and objectives.
  • Professional relationship building and the ability to connect and collaborate with others across all levels and organizations.
  • An outstanding communicator, presenter, and writer with; background in drafting project plans across multiple stakeholders, holding teams accountable to their deliverables, and generating final reports.
  • Ability to risk rank various high-priority items and advocate successfully for technical and business teams collaboration. 
  • Experienced in crisis management best practices; autonomy to explore thoughts and ideas to understand better and synthesize new knowledge, understanding, and wisdom.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and self-assess conflicting priorities to make operational decisions.
  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), MBCP, Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) or related is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of Corporate IT and Security control policies.
