Job Description Working in Application Support means you'll use both creative and critical thinking skills to maintain application systems that are crucial to the daily operations of the firm. You'll work collaboratively in teams on a wide range of projects based on your primary area of focus: design or programming. While learning to fix application and data issues as they arise, you'll also gain exposure to software development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and improvement, in addition to production lifecycle methodologies and risk guidelines. Finally, you'll have the opportunity to develop professionally -and to grow your career in any direction you choose.
The Finance Risk Data & Controls (FRDC) and Employee Experience & Corporate Tech (EECT) Resiliency team provides Resiliency and Compliance support for the suite of 24x7 environment applications. We support high availability, disaster recovery and sustain resiliency events. Maintain and contribute to the development of Corporate Standards and Policies and procedures related to the Technology and People Resiliency portfolio. Document, distribute and maintain the Business Continuity Plan (BCP). Ensure strategies and plans are viable. Maintain ongoing contact with technology support. Participate on the local Crisis Management Team.
We also support the Data Center Resiliency Recovery and prioritization. Determine scope, participate and provide on-the-ground support for these events weekend round-the-clock. Ensure compliance is maintained and contribute to post-mortem meetings to address issues.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Basic knowledge of application development
  • Working knowledge in one or more general purpose programming languages, plus an interest in learning other coding languages and skills as needed
  • Working knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
  • 5+ years experience project managing multiple projects
  • Knowledge of global and line of business project management standards and methods
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
  • PMP, MSP, Six Sigma, or other formal project management discipline preferred: familiarity with SDLC and Agile delivery practices beneficial
  • Strong technical capability
  • Experience in infrastructure projects e.g. Wide Area Networking, Networking, Storage SAN, NAS, Server deployments, Data Centers, virtualization.
  • Strong quality assurance and process improvement experience - past operations policy and process development.
  • 5+ years strong IT Risk Management experience in the identification and implementation of security controls
  • Ability to listen, analyze, influence, negotiate and use judgment to solve complex issues in order to accomplish project goals
