ROLE OVERVIEW
The Associate Product Manager will focus on the Category Management functions within tms/HAVI (Product Sourcing & Supply Chain Management) of our various product lines which include food packaging and youth premiums. This position is primarily responsible for delivering and supporting product enhancements across our various custom built and third-party sourced applications. This position needs to be passionate to partner and collaborate with business teams in delivering solutions that drive efficiencies and bring competitive advantage to the business community.
Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with business users.
- Understand business processes.
- Capture business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
- Drive decisioning on build vs buy of technology solutions based on the business needs.
- Collaborate with developers in designing application solutions.
- Create project plans and execute on the commitments.
- Lead developers in delivering the business requirements.
- Communicate project status to executives and steering committees.
- Deliver application solutions on time and on budget.
- Support applications in the production environment.
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors on delivering enhancements and bug fixes to the applications
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in software engineering (building software on multiple developer platforms; .NET, Java, etc.).
- 3-5 years’ experience in Information Technology with experience in software application development, database development (SQL, Oracle) and migration to cloud
- Working knowledge of data warehousing, ETL and integration processes.
- Familiarity with Agile product development or other continuous delivery methodologies.
- Experience and comfort in open communication and collaboration with others while working in a diverse, team-focused environment that reaches across functional and geographic borders
Preferred
- Familiarity with CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote), PLM (Product Lifecycle Mgmt.) & Supply Chain style applications is a plus.
