Job Overview
The AppD Project Manager Role is a highly clear role with key responsibilities of supporting internal projects for the Build and Release Engineering team and applying best practices and methodologies. The ideal candidate will help structure projects, facilitate, supervise progress, uncover/remove roadblocks, and keep partners advised the entire way. Leading all aspects of the goals of a project to stay on task and on time. Clear expectations are set and working towards a definition of done to prevent scope creep. The ability to learn from each project and take those into the next one. Looking for someone that wants to build/improve on a process and not just follow a formula.
Responsibilities:

  • Resolve and define project scope and objectives
  • Develop and lead a detailed project timeline and work plan
  • Uncover and remove/mitigate roadblocks
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various collaborators about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Lead contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating encouraged results
  • Apply industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Supervise progress and make adjustments as needed
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and lead resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Ability to propose budget based on scope of work and resource requirements

Qualifications for Project Manager

  • 5-8 years of Project management and related experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and (ITIL) certifications preferred
  • Confirmed ability to troubleshoot problems creatively
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools (Jira and Confluence preferred), methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong social skills and very resourceful
  • Validated ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
