Job Description As a Agility Lead (Scrum Master), you'll act as a servant leader for your team(s) by facilitating clear communication to management and to the team. Our Leads are open, approachable, collaborative, and enjoy working with passionate people. They're proactive in solving problems to help their team(s) succeed. They embrace agility as a practice and have a lean mindset. The Agility Leads are responsible for removing impediments that hinder the team from reaching their goals and has a flexible approach that enables the team to rapidly respond to changes.
Who is our Product Team :
The JPMorgan Wealth Management (JPMWM) business is focused on helping investors achieve their long-term financial goals and is comprised of the Chase wealth management business, J.P. Morgan Securities and You Invest - our digital investing platform. The combined business has ~$400 billion in assets under management and ~4,000 advisors who work out of 3,500 branches and 21 offices.
The My JPM Plan team develops industry-leading solutions that enable wealth management clients to understand how their wealth is doing and how they can achieve their wealth goals through actionable plans and ongoing, personalized support, with or without an advisor. The team is charged with creating a fully integrated, elegant and seamless end-to-end experience for clients and advisors across the Aspiring Affluent, Established, and High Net Worth client segments. We build the strategic vision and lead the development of products and solutions. Our strategy is to create solutions that deepen client and advisor engagement, increase scale and profitability, attract new clients and drive advisor productivity.
Agility Lead Responsibilities :

  • Work with the Product owner to align teams with the product vision, sprint goals, and other necessary information
  • Facilitate groups of 30 or more and coach multiple teams across the product
  • Create an environment of collaboration within the teams that allows for open dialogue and productive solutions for resolving conflicts
  • Champion continuous improvement activities to reduce waste and increase productivity; coach organization to conduct continuous improvement events
  • Communicate organizational impediments to leadership; clear impediments for the team
  • Embrace the concept of continuous learning in your own journey and instill the same in the team(s) you coach
  • Coach product owners in creation and maintenance of the product backlog, including empirical planning using tools such as JIRA (incl. JIRA Align, JIRA Portfolio)
  • Appreciate the depths of Lean and Agile practices and principles, help teams appreciate them
  • Teach systems thinking and servant leadership
  • Bring ideas from professional facilitation, coaching, conflict management, mediation and so on to help the team become a high-performance team
  • Embraces the concept of continuous learning in own journey and drives in the team by: 1- Protecting the team from churn, 2 - Driving velocity improvements, 3 - Lowering defect density 4 - Promoting more frequent deployments (CI/CD)


This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Prior experience as Agility Lead, Scrum Master or Agile Coach in Financial Services organization
  • Ability and confidence to coach and mentor teams (varying levels) on agile ways of working
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence product leadership on Agility practices
  • Ability to flex approach based on the needs of the team/organization / \"Be Agile\"
  • Expert level understanding of Agility frameworks - LeSS (Large Scale Scrum), Scrum and/or Kanban, Ability to facilitate sessions that are centered around these foundations
  • Ability to leverage skills from coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution and more to serve team(s)
  • Possess high emotional intelligence - self awareness, empathy for others, social skills and motivates others
  • 1+ years of experience using Atlassian tools - JIRA and Confluence
  • Wealth Management experience is a plus
  • CCB Agility experience is a plus
  • CSM (Scrum Alliance) certification is encouraged
