Agile Project Manager
COMPANY OVERVIEW
LoanWell is an automated loan origination and portfolio management solution for community lenders - banks, credit unions, CDFIs, loan funds, and foundations. We've built the "Squarespace for Lenders", a white labelled platform with end-to-end functionality for application intake, origination, task management, underwriting, closing, servicing, and reporting. LoanWell automates the back office so the community lenders can do what they do best - fund our local small businesses. We are a mission-driven FinTech, helping increase access to capital for those typically left out of the financial system and improve access to affordable capital for the small businesses that power our local and national economies.
THE POSITION
The Agile Project Manager helps expand access to affordable capital by setting LoanWell's new customers up for success with our product through consultative project management and capacity building, ultimately creating efficiency that removes barriers in the financial system.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and manage project plans to help customers recognize their goals and drive towards a successful, on-time delivery
- Maintain project documentation, issue management, change requests and change management
- Hold team and client status meetings to provide visibility to the project's progress, deadline, goals, objectives, and issues
- Coach and guide team members to complete tasks and project deliverables
- Resolve conflicts related to schedule, solution, and team performance
- Seek ways to improve the process of delivering solutions to clients
- Forge strong partnerships with customers and colleagues
- Lead clients and team members through each phase of the project: requirements gathering, development, quality assurance / user acceptance, deployment, post-launch support
- Curate, share, and promote training materials to help our clients get the most value out of LoanWell
Requirements
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD HAVE:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in operations, software, and/or financial services
- Ability to manage large, complex implementation projects through cross-functional teams working within a software development and deployment.
- Motivated by the opportunity to define and collaboratively deliver compelling, differentiated cloud applications that delight LoanWell's customers
- Detail oriented but with the ability to think and act strategically
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience researching, troubleshooting and solving complex software issues
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage and interact with different types of teams
- Proven track record partnering with engineering teams with a focus on solid results-driven execution
- Excellent focus, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a very fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize a list of projects and focus on higher value tasks with more immediate deadlines
- Bachelor's with strong academic record with a strong preference for quantitative, finance, or technical backgrounds
- Ability to work on own initiative and in remote environments
- Ability to work in Durham, NC preferred. If remote, willingness to travel occasionally to Durham to strengthen team collaboration and increase speed of learning cycles
