We are seeking an expert Agile Practitioner to join this high performance team. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring Agile Frameworks are understood and enacted. We are seeking a dynamic, polished and experience candidate to lead Agile coaching and transformation within Optum as part of Optum Technology University.
Agile Practitioners accomplish this goal this by ensuring that the team and organization adhere to the values of the Agile Manifesto and the twelve principles therein.
You act as a servant leader.
You will assist and train employees and stakeholders understand and enact empirical product development. You are a facilitator, trainer, coach, and mentor for the team, organization and enterprise.
You are not defined or bounded by your title, but instead focus on delivering value. You seek to continuously improve your own skills, the effectiveness of your team, and the organization's understanding of Agile.
You measure progress using learning milestones.
You support the five elements of a learning organization: personal mastery, mental models, shared vision, team learning, and systems thinking.
You adhere to the five Scrum values: focus, courage, openness, commitment, and respect.
In this role you will enjoy telecommuting and be able to work in the continental U.S. within any time zone.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Required Qualifications:

  • One or more Agile Certification(s)
  • 5+ years of work experience as an effective and successful Agile Coach and Practitioner
  • 5+ years of application development/support experience in a large enterprise environment
  • 2+ years of experience leading teams and/or managing workloads for team members
  • 2+ years of experience and ability to conduct Agile coaching sessions both virtually and in some cases on site in offices if needed
  • Experience leading development and/or support for large, critical applications (preferably on multiple platforms
  • Experience on Large Scale IT initiatives


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile Certification(s)
  • Bachelor's degree or higher level of education
  • Experiences leading/working with distributed team
  • Organizational Change Management experience / certifications
  • Experience managing/working with a remote team of resources including offshore team members
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Technical knowledge of DevOps practices and how to apply to teams
  • Customer centric Product thinking and project to product mindset
  • Possesses a ''Growth Mindset'' and advocate for positive change

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
