Working as a Advanced Project Manager plays a key role in our IT organization, meeting and exceeding customer expectations while helping to build a sustainable and profitable future. You will have the opportunity to tackle some of the most innovative and complex Information Technology ERP projects in the industry today.Reporting to the ELIT ERP Practice you will lead ERP Projects and its teams supporting all other Domain Verticals and have complete ownership for its execution, using either ABB and/or 3rd party resources, and ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with company procedures and project objectives.
Your responsibilities

  • Defining with key stakeholders the scope of work, cost/budget, resources required, time schedule, and detailed work allocation
  • Organizing, monitoring and controlling activities to safeguard achievement of planned stage-gates and efficient utilization of available resources
  • Monitoring and controlling of project financials, as well as proactive management and mitigation of project risks
  • Ensuring the successful close down of the project and completion, also capture and documentation of lessons learned
  • Executing project communication and issuing reporting for project performance against plan and business outcome
  • Actively strive to optimize overall resource planning and utilization
  • Commits to improve performance while taking action to minimize risks
  • Acts proactively to avoid/minimize project risks and turn situations into opportunities
  • Sees the overall impact of scope changes and actively negotiates as they arise to ABB's best interest
  • Plan critical path, monitor and control project activities to maximize cash flow
  • Coordinate/negotiate with major vendors to improve pricing and delivery
  • Coordinate with internal departments to assist in accomplishing the project goals
  • Create effective reports (status/progress) to all stakeholders with appropriate detail for desired understanding of the true project status and what needs to be achieved to accomplish project goals and objectives
  • Strong experience working on a complex matrix organization ensuring multiple and diverse stakeholder's engagement
  • Work with others in a coordinated and professional way to create a team environment that achieves project success
  • Strong experienced working with multiple demands with competing priorities
  • Adherence to project management methodologies and governance

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 10+ years IT experience with SAP General Project Management knowledge in area of IT/IS, along with 10 years of Project Management experience.
  • Solid experience working with SAP, S4 HANA and CFiN preferred.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of Project Management disciplines and process.
  • Demonstrated customer focus with the ability to build effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate within a pressurized environment, high visibility programs, consistently delivering results and achieving objectives on time and within the agreed parameters.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate to steering committee, reference teams and stakeholders (including project plans, announcements, metrics/KPIs, etc.) and with local, global and cross-divisional virtual teams and experience in dealing with the cultural diversity of a global business environment.
  • Demonstrate negotiation skills in interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to assess, propose and implement solutions for rapid recovery of troubled or challenged workstreams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% and Fluent spoken and written English is a must.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in United States
