Job Description
- Manage and deliver projects / sites assigned within or lower than budgets
- Provide support to the team on Quantity Surveyor services
- Work with consultants, authorities, contractors and suppliers to ensure project plans are implemented according to stipulated timeline
- Perform site inspections, attend site meetings, provide regular progress reports with photo and submit progressive project claims
- Prepare cost estimate and finalized cost and coordinate project meeting with client
- Ensure proper project documentation (e.g. record and file minutes of meeting)
- Prepare and submit reports to various representatives, government agencies, to handle site audits
- Verify contractor’s progress claims and certified payment, before submission to client for processing payment
- Timely submission of project claims is necessary to ensure positive cashflow for the project
- Ensure all projects comply with all relevant legislation, code of practices, standards and statutory requirement
- Prepare estimates costing that required for quotations / tenders and be able to justify on the proposed budget
- Monitor contractors’ performance to ensure project is on schedule, and quality and quantities of works comply to contract specifications
- Draft contract specification and to meet up with Grassroots Leaders or Town Councillors to understand the requirements
- Call the quotations / tenders and to prepare evaluation reports and conducts interviews, etc
- Provide value-add service by recommending proposals to improve design, etc
- Assist in planning and scheduling of the projects
- Facilitate in conducting of consensus gathering especially for NRP, ROS projects
- Handle feedbacks from the ground / residents pertaining to project
- Ensure safety measures are implemented on site
- Attendance at Working Committee meetings, TC’s committee meetings, etc
- Perform any related duties as required and directed.
- Take accountability and ownership of Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) standards and outcomes in building up a Safety Culture.
