As a Production Specialist, you ensure smooth plant operations by improving equipment effectiveness and promoting safety, quality, and cost-saving initiatives while developing team capabilities.

As a Production Specialist, you drive Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvements across processes and equipment within the assigned business center. You ensure process capability and capacity to consistently deliver plant goals. You are actively engaged in assuring the integrity of Safety and Quality systems. You champion Workplace Organization (WPO) standards. You drive an efficient cost structure by implementing cost-saving initiatives and projects using Focused Improvement (FI) methodology. You also coach team members to actively participate in problem-solving and process troubleshooting.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities
  • You safely maintain the smooth and timely flow of plant production, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to the next operation or customer.
  • You lead and promote safety across all aspects of plant operations.
  • You are responsible for the training and development of team members and providing day-to-day shop floor support, while meeting production targets with safety and quality standards.
  • You ensure strict adherence to all procedures, audits, practices, and standard work within the operation.
  • You develop employees and foster a strong, collaborative team culture.
  • You develop, maintain, and drive continuous improvement within the team.
     
Education & Certifications
  • You hold a 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Polymer Engineering (required).
     
Experience
  • You bring 6+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably within the tire industry, including exposure to tire building, curing, and final finishing operations.
