JOB DETAILS
1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm (4 by 10 shift)
Pay Range: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Production Associate is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly of windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and repetitive work environment, which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands. This job description is reflective of tasks that will be performed in a variety of departments.
- Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
- May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
- Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
- Understand and carry out verbal instructions
- Read and carry out simple written instructions
- Read work orders, labels, and schedules
- Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
- Make fraction and decimal conversions
- Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Provide on-the-job training to new employees
- Overtime required
Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing or installing windows preferred
- Knowledge of manual dexterity required for operating machinery
- Must be a “team player”, this job requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carryout detailed written or oral instructions
Mental/Physical/Visual Demands
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand
- The employee is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; turning or twisting; pushing; and talk or hear
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
- Must be able to pass a background check
Working Conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the average plant temperature conditions range from 60° in the cooler months and up to 100° during the warmer months
- All workstations on the plant floor require the use of protective eyewear, hearing protection, and safety-toe and/or metatarsal shoes. Some workstations require additional personal protective equipment, to include but not limited to gloves, arm guards, and leather aprons

- Required to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions
