Job Description A critical priority for our Firm is to ensure that high-quality data is available to run our business and meet our clients' needs. The Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) Chief Data Office (CDO) defines AWM's data strategy and support for the core data used across AWM and needed to run our business, such as client data, reference data, product data, securities and pricing data, transactions and holdings, and index data. The AWM CDO is positioned in the Asset & Wealth Management Operations division, within AWM Center. We work with the AWM business and Firm wide CDO to analyze data, ensure data governance and data quality standards are in place, look for efficiencies in business processes, and work with our technology partners to implement solutions.
The Wealth Management Product Owner (PO) will be primarily focused on the Party and Account (P&A) Data Domain. The PO will collaborate with other project/program managers, business and data analysts, business SMEs, and technology teams to drive data strategy, ensuring clear priorities and completion of tasks, mitigating risks and overall leading the project to deliver on business benefits.
Roles and Responsibilities

  • Define product vision and roadmap and collaborate with other Product Owner to align priorities and timeline
  • Establish and manage relationships with data consumers and business stakeholders to understand their goals and any challenges they have in achieving them
  • Responsible to define and implement common capabilities/micro-services solution to be re-used across the Firm
  • Manage product backlog, write user stories, specifying acceptance criteria for stories, track issues and action items, measuring progress (e.g. value delivered to clients in each iteration.
  • Responsible for end-to-end Project Delivery to enhance business strategy, efficiency and governance, and optimization efforts
  • Report project/task status and raise risks and issues in a timely manner
  • Serve as Party and Account subject matter expert and participate in other WM product cabinets to develop and execute data strategies that build and maintain data quality and integrity
  • Identify new data sets/capabilities that address data challenges and drive improved business operating models
  • Perform data analysis and creates data flows
  • Oversight and provide data sourcing/data mapping to Party & account consumers
  • Maintain alignment with controls and governance policies/standards/products
  • Continue to support the transformation of the organization into an Agile-driven product-based model


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant product owner / business analyst / project management experience required, including for mid-sized technology build-outs and deployments with accompanying process changes
  • Experience with Agile or Extreme Programming
  • Experience in creating process and data flows and business requirement documentation
  • Background in data management practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and data quality framework
  • Strong interpersonal leadership, partnership and influencing skills - ability to interact with colleagues at all levels in a peer-like manner and achieve goals without direct control over resources.
  • Excellent analytical and logical thinking to understand and analyze complex business processes, identifying risks and defining solutions
  • Strong ability to work in uncertain operational environment, while staying organized and driving initiatives forward
  • Advanced skills with the core MS Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), process-mapping tools (e.g. Signavio, MS Visio, etc.) and analytical tools like Alteryx

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to quickly define and deconstruct problems leveraging strong analytical and end-to-end problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills; Able to present information in differing degrees of detail and form depending on audience; Experienced in creating presentations for senior management
  • Ability to multitask and strong time management skills
  • Ability to work both independently, as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Wealth Management experience preferred
