We aim to solve the most fundamental, pervasive, everyday market problems afflicting consumers in today's e-commerce experience. Lack of trust in online reviews, inefficiency of price comparison and finding coupons, a better foundational search experience for shopping journeys - these are core problems which we aim to solve through data curation and strong product, engineering, and design execution.
We're seeking a visionary innovator to join us in a critical role as VP of Product Management. In this role, you will wield an incredible engineering, AI and data science team, partner with world class design and marketing teams, and collaborate closely with our CEO to envision, scope, design, build, launch, and scale products that will redefine and shape the future of e-commerce.
This is not your typical process-oriented product role. We're looking for a complete product leader with vision, deep technological insight, strong consumer research capabilities, deep understanding of product positioning and strategy, mastery over analytics and data, and strong project leadership and execution. We have an incredibly challenging, future-leaning roadmap and we need a product leader who's up to the task of leading us through our next cycle of product innovation and growth.
What you'll do
- Work closely with our CEO to establish the strategic vision, positioning, roadmap, and GTM across our portfolio of production apps and new concepts in development. Own the end-to-end business success of each product, defining core KPIs and aligning the team around them.
- Connect user needs, market problems, market opportunities to product vision, strategy and requirements.
- Manage a complex global portfolio of products and platforms and large scale data infrastructure and AI models to support those.
- Every product we build starts with community at the core. Ideate and build products based on gamification principles with an eye toward shared economic outcomes. Incorporate blockchain, utility tokens, and digital assets where they can enable increased cohesion with external stakeholders.
- Fundamentally, product growth is baked into each product's core design. For us executing on product-led growth (PLG) is a close collaboration between Product, Engineering, Design, Growth, Community, and Revenue teams. Your role will be to ensure our community growth flywheels align to GTM and growth strategies, deliver on user expectations and community mission, and are modeled on sound, robust economics that scale over time.
- Collaborate with our VP of Engineering to own the roadmap and delivery timelines across our portfolio.
- Build, inspire, and lead a talented team of product leaders to build the next generation of e-commerce tools, services, and utilities.
- Infuse and incorporate AI into every product surface, use case, and capability.
About you
- 8+ years leading product teams, with end-to-end experience designing, building, and shipping product in large-scale production environments.
- Mastery over product positioning, collection and incorporation of user insights into strategy, deep data analysis capabilities, strong research skills and fluency in technical concepts including AI, LLMs, and blockchain, ability to conceive roadmaps and strategy optimized for a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
- Aptitude for designing and building participative, community-driven products based on gamification design principles driven by blended monetary, reputational, and participative incentives. Basically, you're comfortable working on products designed to elicit participation, sharing, and content creation from end users.
- Strong understanding of AI and large language models, including familiarity with existing foundation models and basic concepts of fine-tuning and knowledge embedding. You'll be working on emergent UX models which hybridize conversational, visual, and spatial interaction patterns.
- Strong background in consumer web and fluency in growth marketing strategies and go-to-market concepts. You have a broad understanding of SEO, social media, performance media, and the landscape of affiliate, influencer, and referral models.
- Strong technical product management skills. Expert level project management, sprint management, roadmap ownership, estimation, requirements scoping and definition, deep collaboration with engineering to deliver functional, scalable software on schedule.
- Experience with internationalization and global product management is a strong plus.
About the job
- Starting cash compensation: $300K - $500K DOE. Includes base and profit-sharing of roughly $50K - $100K in first year with annual increases.
- Stock options: 0.4% to 1.0% initial grant
