We're looking for a data-driven and entrepreneurial product VP who cares more about building high-impact product experiences than the process of Product Management.This job is a formative career opportunity to accelerate the growth of a public company. We are making bold moves and building product initiatives that every software company will need to do in the next decade. The Growth Platform powers many of those product initiatives, and you get to be in the driver's seat. That includes product-led growth (PLG) for an enterprise business, a self-service e-commerce business, usage-based pricing, and others.This role is ideal for a technical leader who has previously founded a startup or always wanted to do so. You will find this role to have a direct impact like you would in a startup, yet benefit from the safety of a ~$1B business with a clear product-market fit and a very large addressable market. What you'll do You will own product direction for New Relic's Growth Platform team. You'll oversee a 20-person Product Management and Program Management team and partner closely with the VP of Growth Engineering, who leads a 100+ person Growth Engineering team. The specific areas of focus are:

  • Pricing and Packaging for all New Relic Platform capabilities, including our free tier.
  • Onboarding & Nurturing Product Experiences
  • Usage-Based (Consumption) Billing Platform
  • Identity Platform
  • Self-Service Payments (our e-commerce experience)


This role requires

  • Expertise in making product decisions using data analytics and understanding product usage patterns;A love for great UX and a keen eye for detail
  • Prior work experience with PLG, pricing, and packaging initiatives, including experimentation strategies
  • History of getting things done that require cross-functional collaboration and alignment
  • 10+ years proven ability leading product management with a passion for people leadership rooted in helping your team do their best work, hiring, and performance coaching
  • Frameworks to balance technical debt reduction with introducing innovations
  • An Engineering or Computer Science background or equivalent practical experience

Bonus points if you have

  • Previous experience as a founder or early employee at a tech startup
  • Previous experience working with products built for software engineers
  • Previous experience with Observability tools.
