VP, Product - Enterprise Privacy and Data Sharing
Capital One takes customer transparency, security, privacy and data ethics seriously. We are seeking a Head of Product for Privacy & Data Sharing within our Enterprise Data and Privacy organization. In this role, you will build a team and lead the effort to set an enterprise-wide strategy for data privacy, govern data sharing with third parties, create data sharing products for internal and external use, create privacy products and experiences for our customers, and ensure we infuse transparency, privacy and security into everything we build and do. You will develop a forward-leaning enterprise privacy and data sharing strategy that extends above and beyond required regulations. You will build effective partnerships with regulatory agencies, vendors, and industry groups. Ideally you will also be a leading voice for Capital One on industry boards, forums and communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Create Capital One's privacy brand that includes products, tools and messaging
- Create the strategic vision for the privacy brand and capabilities, inclusive of platform and product strategies
- Drive high level product roadmap definition in support strategic goals including key deliverables for near-term quarters and a sketch of future quarters to provide directional guidance
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable federal and state privacy laws and accreditation standards
- Maintain and advance the company's privacy policies, procedures and data governance practices, and design controls to ensure compliance
- Monitor the effectiveness of privacy-related risk mitigation and compliance measures, including assessment of compliance with privacy policies, and identification of privacy-related risks in workflows, products and services
- Drive privacy-related awareness and training among leadership and employees
- Lead privacy incident response, including data breach preparedness
- Identify trends and patterns that can be used to manage risk and develop metrics to demonstrate the health of the privacy program.
- Build credibility and strong personal relationships with senior leaders across Capital One in order to steer towards consensus on shared goals, grow support, and drive high-impact results
- Serve as a magnet for top talent and build a world-class privacy team; develop, coach, and inspire your team and equip them with the skills and experiences to be successful in their careers

You are a professionally mature, confident executive who is comfortable and effective at all levels of the organization. You deploy sophisticated, scaled machine learning solutions at scale to drive the development of enterprise products and platforms that make that easier for others. You are a strategic thought partner, capable of communicating and influencing senior leadership. You have the ability to collaborate across the enterprise, building relationships with key stakeholders. You have extensive experience building and leading world class product organizations. You are an inspiring leader with well-honed coaching skills with the ability and passion for developing your team.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 5 years of experience managing platforms
- At least 8 years of experience in Product Management
- At least 10 years of experience in People Management
Preferred Qualifications
- Robust experience in privacy strategy, privacy products, data sharing, privacy laws and regulations, data governance practices, compliance measures, and incident response.
- At least 10 years of experience using and developing modern data technology at scale to drive massive business value
- A forward-leaning machine learning expert who has built a world-class function in a tech-savvy organization, versus simply maintaining status quo or "keeping up"
- At least 5 years of experience in innovative technology environments that embrace not only machine learning, but also public cloud, open source technologies and agile environments
- At least 5 years of executive experience leading high performing machine learning teams of at least 50+
