About this Role:

In this role, you will lead the vision and execution of building out the world’s first truly conversational AI platform capable of helping customers achieve their intentions through long-running conversational threads. We believe that AI can be a force for helping achieve personal growth as well as facilitating discrete transactions as long as customers are in control of their data. You’ll have access to a wealth of conversational data to drive machine learning. You’ll work side-by-side with data and applied scientists to frame experiments and innovate new approaches to Conversational AI. You’ll be the single threaded owner (product and engineering) for the AI platform including NLU, Dialog Management, Routing, Context and Analytics services. You’ll report directly to the SVP of Conversational AI.

In this role you will:

  • Continually update LivePerson’s AI Platform vision
  • Own the AI platform product strategy
  • Establish aggressive goals and manage teams to extend LivePerson’s leadership in Conversational AI
  • Expand LivePerson’s influence by representing our advances to industry leaders and organizations
  • Own both product and engineering resources as well as the roadmap prioritization and investment recommendations.

Requirements:

  • 10 years of product development and engineering leadership in highly available, highly scalable, high throughput systems
  • Educational background in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computational Linguistics, or other relevant areas
  • Expertise in Machine Learning techniques applied to real-time decisioning systems
  • Strong track record of full lifecycle product development (build/run).
  • Proven track record of problem-solving, communication, and critical-thinking skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to work closely with teammates in a highly collaborative environment
  • Strong team leadership and talent development mindset

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3-5 years post-graduate experience in ML
  • Expertise in NLU/NLP, Dialog Management or Natural Language Generation techniques
