Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join PennyMac - a top national mortgage lender who is committed to providing its customers with a range of innovative mortgage solutions. PennyMac's Product and Pricing Strategy Group ("PPSG") is looking for an Agency Product Manager who can provide deep expertise by specializing in GSE and Government product programs and help guide the success of the product portfolio. The Product Manager is expected to lead new product evaluation activities, provide support and guidance with product implementations, monitor product success and performance, and analyze industry-wide developments for impacts to PennyMac's products and customers.
The ideal candidate will be highly strategic with an ability to support the cross-functional product development organization and ensure effective administration, timely release of new product introductions, as well as, changes to existing products and programs. You will work closely with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure the product supports the organization's overall strategy and goals.

Job Description

• New product surveillance and competitive intelligence
• Lead product evaluation efforts
• Provide oversight and guidance on product implementation activities
• Analyze industry-wide program developments for impacts to PennyMac's products and customers
• Monitor results of the product portfolio and reviewing product trends (credit attributes, performance, usage statistics)
• Serve as the centralized product expert for program guidelines, parameters and borrower profile
• Work with key stakeholders, participate in and develop overall product strategy
• Coordinate with other teams across PennyMac to accomplish common objectives
• Identify product needs and define a product roadmap that delivers key strategic results
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

• Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years mortgage industry experience preferred, or equivalent industry experience required
• Extensive knowledge of GSE and Government mortgage products/programs
• Extensive knowledge of Mortgage Insurance products/programs
• Strong understanding of the origination process, loan origination systems, and mortgage lifecycle
• Strong analytical skills
• Resourcefulness in identifying trends and changes in the mortgage market
• Collaborative work style with a strong focus on execution and results
• Superior customer relationship/management skills
• Self-driven, with strong innovation and change orientation
• Aptitude for determining product dependencies and prioritizing tasks
• Advanced knowledge with MS Office and/or Google applications
• Advanced verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Strong attention to detail
