An Insider's view of Resi Media

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

Resi provides a great work-life balance for Engineers. As long as you’re getting your work done, you have more flexible hours. As a mom, that’s important as I can attend school events during the day without feeling pressured. I appreciate the benefit of a flexible schedule and getting to be actively involved in my family life even on weekdays.

Mikaela

Multisite Engineering Team Lead

What does your typical day look like?

I work remote from the PNW and I have coworkers all over the US and the world. I often start early to attend stand ups and meetings with my coworkers in Texas. I often have strategy meetings and other calls throughout the day. Working remotely can be difficult but it works great for me and my family's schedule.

Jen

Product Manager

What does career growth look like on your team?

Resi Engineering's focus is to cultivate a culture that harnesses a path toward developing our engineers toward one of two career ladders; one technical driven, the other people leadership driven. Engineers are encouraged to share how they are progressing and add new goals as needed. Our engineering leaders are dedicated to helping each engineer.

Ginger

Director of Engineering

How do you empower your team to be more creative?

In our engineering team at Resi, we foster Innovation through an annual Hackathon, or Innovation Sprint. The team works on whatever they want to learn new ways to do things. They present their ideas to everyone to share information from everyone's learnings and then awards are chosen. It is a great time and we have done it for the last three years!

Matt

Vice President, Engineering

What projects are you most excited about?

One thing I love about Resi is our leads proactively transfer their experience to teams. Skills grow faster & further here than anywhere else. Our process is lightweight & built upon modern industry practices that don’t get in the way. I’m excited about our expanded video egress capabilities, UI/UX component driven frontend, & customer analytics.

Pete

Principal Engineer
