Job Description
Peacock's Personalization team helps every user discover content they want to watch as quickly as possible. The team identifies, builds, and optimizes a variety of machine learning and recommender models that power personalization and Search across the product. We are looking for a seasoned product leader to define, drive, and execute the vision and strategy of Peacock Personalization and Search partnering with a globally distributed full-stack personalization team of data analysts, data scientists, engineers, and editors.
In this role, you will:

  • Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Peacock's suite of personalized product experiences
  • Clearly articulate, evangelize, and align the organization behind the personalization strategy and value proposition
  • Identify how to scale the platform's personalization capabilities to meet our growing international reach
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to accelerate the impacts of personalization on our users and the business
  • Build machine learning powered products that address each stage of the user lifecycle
  • Partner with Data Science and Technology teams to research, develop and iterate on Machine Learning models
  • Deeply understand business considerations, competitive landscape, and best practices to drive optimal streaming video experiences
  • Manage, mentor, and motivate a growing team of product managers


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of product management experience within the media or consumer technology space with a specific focus on personalization
  • Understanding of and experience with modern ML/AI approaches and as they relate to personalization, search and recommendation products
  • Experience in content streaming strongly preferred
  • Track record of successfully operating within a highly matrixed work environment with multiple stakeholders including building successful partnerships with data science and engineering groups
  • Consumer-centric view with a proven track-record of developing and acting on customer insights
  • Experience with A/B testing, hypothesis validation, user testing and analytics software
  • Documented success building, managing and retaining high-performance teams
  • Ability to clearly identify the tradeoffs of product KPIs and decisions
  • A clear thinker with external focus and excellent communication and relationship building skills; ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple manner
  • Strong analytical skills and a hypotheses-driven approach to problem solving
  • Flexibility to quickly adapt to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines
