eFront, a part of BlackRock is a market leader for end-to-end solutions dedicated to the Private Market investments industry. With our eFront Invest suite of products, we enable our clients to streamline investment and portfolio administration processes. You will build on our current success and craft the direction for this product alongside our clients and internal stakeholders.

Your hands-on experience in Alternative investments, track record in driving long term innovation, and sustainable client engagement and support will be needed for success in this role.

Product Manager within Aladdin Product Management are responsible for creating rich product specifications that enable eFront offerings to be developed with quality and efficiency. Although this role has no direct reports, you would be collaborating closely with product managers, and it will be expected to co-ordinate and manage dependencies between Products. They collaborate closely with product managers to determine the "what" of a solution, and it will be expected to co-ordinate and manage dependencies between Products. They partner with engineers to attain harmonization between functional and technical specifications and determine the and "how" of the solution and are responsible for delivery and technical support for your product. You should have experience influencing and motivating teams without direct control.

The Product Manager role on the eFront Invest team will focus its time on our Investment book of record and Investor management capabilities and on our larger effort to better improve to Investment structure management with the eFront and Aladdin Solutions. You will directly contribute to the firm's highest priorities by helping Alternative Investment less Alternative. You will gain experience to a broad collection of user personas, our cutting-edge product delivery methods. Success in this role will result in happy clients, excellent product scoping and deployment documentation, and the efficient development and value chain delivery of new reporting features. This implies a strong understanding of the needs of Private Market investments industry, especially when it comes to Investor Management, Investment Management, fees and waterfall calculation and Fund accounting.

Your day would include:

• Working with other product managers to define the product strategy and vision. Clearly articulate the business value to the delivery teams so they understand the intent behind the new product or product release. This implies a strong understanding of the needs of Private Market investments industry, especially when it comes to Investment book of record.
• Responsibility for making product decisions and acting as the lead resource for the rest of the organization when product expertise is required. This includes supporting the wider BlackRock organization (including Marketing, Sales, Professional Services and Customer Support) that help bring the product to market and working directly with clients.
• Helping define the strategy behind the product along with its roadmap and work with other product managers and engineering to build what matters and delivers value to clients.
• Coordinating the agenda and product artifacts for product governance forums and joint working groups. Summarizing decisions, next steps, and feedback on product readiness for clients
• Planning for what engineering teams will deliver and when they will deliver it.
• You would participate to the release aspect of product including release plans, managing features and user stories, dependencies in and across releases; and managing releases with phases and milestones.
• Drive the process of generating, developing, and prioritizing new ideas. Ensuring that suitable ideas achieve the key objectives for the product line and BlackRock.
• Ensuring that key feedback and requests are integrated into their product planning and development processes.
• Defining the features requirements, Use Cases, User Stories, and User Journey Maps, Process and Data Definition Documents necessary to deliver a complete product to market and lead the product team to success. You will be responsible for articulating the 'what' and working with engineering to determine the 'when.'
• Collaborating with User Experience partners to build harmony between product design and our Reporting and APIs and across different areas of eFront
• In the role it will be required to travel between BlackRock offices as well as to clients across the world (approximately 10-20%).

If you see yourself doing these activities, then you probably have:

• Minimum of 3 years working in Private Market sector with a focus on software, most recently as a Product Manager or a Client Service, Consultant/Business Analyst, or relevant experience
• Hands on experience with operational aspects of Private Market Investment.
• Demonstrable track record of creating, growing and running a product line to market success.
• Created value adding partnerships with clients and vendors.
• Understanding of data handling, processing and analytics technologies and technique
• Commercial acumen, with ability to prioritize and execute quickly
• Strong team player with ability to lead and influence
• Ability to communicate across all levels in the organization (up to Main Board)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations and communicate up and down the organization
• Ability to work and deliver results proactively
• Master's in Business Administration (or similar) with a focus on Finance and Technology
