Opportunity:

Chewy Healthcare is seeking a Sr. Technical Product Manager with significant payments experience to drive payments strategy and implementation for our recently acquired PIMS (Pet Information Management System) “Rhapsody”. Rhapsody is the software vet clinics use to do everything from scheduling, inventory management, customer communications and most importantly, take payment for services rendered. The role will work with the development team working on Rhapsody as well as the larger Chewy Healthcare dev teams.

This role will focus on two areas in specific.

  1. Taking payments in Rhapsody. Both in software and through terminals that take card swipes and process payments.
  2. Integrating the Rhapsody payments stack with the larger chewy.com payments stack.

The primary focus of the role will be to define the customer needs. The customers for Rhapsody are two-fold, both the pet parents who bring their animals into the clinic as well as the clinic staff operating in the clinic. The needs of these customers must be balanced so that both are delighted.

To achieve the above a roadmap that aligns with larger organizations goals will have to be created and vetted such that we have organizational consensus. This roadmap will need to show what steps we take in the near as well as the more distant goals for the software.
Finally, details epics/specifications will need to be created in concert with the design team such that the development team understands the needs of the customers as well and the desired software solutions.

This work will be vital delivering on goals for both Rhapsody and Chewy. Improvement, innovation and integration with new payments processors and new payments functionality has significant executive support and mindshare and this role offers opportunity to partner with higher level management and to delivery core functionality.

What You’ll Do:

  • Create, vet, build consensus and drive the Rhapsody payments roadmap and how that interacts with the larger Chewy.com site.
  • Interface with cross functional teams to align roadmaps and functional requirements for API’s and software communications. At the VP level this development has focus and will be supported.
  • Educate internal team about how the payment stack works so that they may provide better assistance to partners as problems are found. “Triage” issues and address roadmap based on this feedback.
  • Devise and implement process and metrics to collect feedback for the above

What You’ll Need:

  • 3+ years of experience in the payments space.
  • 5+ years as a product manager, owning roadmap and KPI’s
  • Strong understanding of how invoices need to be tracked and recorded so that accounting and reporting are correct. How are credits treated, discounts etc.
  • Sufficient program management skills to drive epics and scrums for features.
  • Knowledge of Jira, the office suite, the writing of specifications and partnering with design teams are all important tools of the job.


Compensation & Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $91,000-$183,500. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.

Non-exempt hourly team members in Fulfillment Centers and Customer Service are also eligible for additional unplanned unpaid time off (UTO). Team members will receive six paid holidays per year. Team members may be eligible for paid sick and family leave in compliance with applicable state and local regulations.
