PAs part of the product team at Amplify, you will join a hardworking team tackling the toughest problems in education with the best ideas in technology - including user experience, APIs and services, data analysis, and deployment pipelines. You'll play an active role in imagining and improving product design and the classroom experience.
Responsibilities of the Technical Product Manager:
- Product Management: Manage products from concept to retirement, including strategy, planning, product design, development, launch, marketing, production, enhancements, and retirement
- Product Leadership: Develop deep knowledge of products and markets to guide decision-making and lead a team of software developers and architects, establishing development practices and standards
- Roadmap Planning: Manage product roadmap and priorities for future development based on market opportunities and customer's needs, with an emphasis on creating sustainable competitive advantage
- Sales & Marketing: Partner with sales and marketing to develop appropriate sales positioning and approach; supports sales efforts on major accounts
- Product & Service Delivery: Support training and information dissemination to service delivery
- Commitment to Quality: Building high-quality products that can handle large data sets with security and stability to enable decision making driven by data for school and district leaders
Basic Qualifications of the Technical Product Manager:
- Bachelors degree
- 2+ years of related experience
- Understanding of business intelligence and data analysis systems
- Demonstrated success as a Product Owner on a product development team or working with a product development team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with data systems integration - especially data systems used in public schools
- Proven ability to break down complex technical requirements into simple terms and consumer-friendly language
- Experience with data visualization and data queries
- Familiarity with Agile SCRUM software development methodology
Preferred Qualifications of the Technical Product Manager:
- Experience in education or ed-tech preferred
- Degree in Computer Science is a plus
