System1 is looking for a technical product manager to lead the roadmap and execution of the content and ad delivery platform. We are a fast-growing and profitable company looking to scale our platforms to keep pace with the business. The ideal person is highly motivated, accustomed to a fast-paced environment, and has a strong understanding of evolving business needs. This role will report directly to the VP of Product Management and help build out a strong, goal-oriented, agile development team.

What You Can Expect on the Team

  • Lead the ideation, technical requirements, product development, and launch of content management and ad delivery systems
  • Write detailed and well thought-out requirements that capture use cases and dependent products to effectively communicate to internal stakeholders and developers 
  • Work closely with multiple development teams to define, scope, and deliver impactful solutions
  • Partner with engineers to surface technical debt and actively prioritize within the team’s development process
  • Deeply understand business and technical needs and design products to achieve goals
  • Define success criteria, tracking, and reporting on KPIs for all owned products
  • Manage planning and communication for high-risk platform migrations and deployment
  • Drive product documentation and proactive communications on owned products

What You Will Bring

  • Demonstrated product management experience with cloud infrastructure and highly-scalable cloud software concepts, including the Domain Name System, serverless computing, elastic load balancing, virtual private clouds, content delivery networks, and distributed caching
  • Strong technical requirement writing experience 
  • Strong leadership to manage competing and conflicting requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Any AWS Certification a plus
  • Experience with AWS cloud platforms such as CloudFront, Lambda, EC2, RDS a plus
  • Experience with distributed tracing systems, end-to-end testing frameworks, and automation tools, such as AWS Xray, Cyprus, Terraform a plus

He was able to balance his work at System1 with assignments and studying, and now, he’s implementing what he learned on the job. Currently, he and the data science team are working on an algorithm to optimize System1’s advertising on a new network. Their custom-built machine learning infrastructure makes it easy to deploy new algorithms and track performance.
