Publishers Clearing House’s platform is growing through acquisition, investment, and partnerships, and we are looking for a Technical Product Manager, Monetization Advertising to join us on our mission to reimagine PCH’s digital future. 

 

This position will lead all aspects of the IT product management process for digital advertisements; generate ideas; gather requirements on mobile ad optimization platform; validate ideas that come from business development, write specifications; guide development and launch of products and provide product issue support after launch.

 

The Role: 

  • Lead go-to-market strategy and build new to PCH (and world) advertising products to jumpstart and significantly scale that business 
  • Identify differentiated, sellable, repeatable performance solutions by industry vertical, tapping PCH’s high user engagement and built-in advantage in capturing permissions-based, qualifying 1st party data to drive conversions for client partners 
  • Define and arm sales team with product selling points, including unique value proposition, competitive positioning, and case studies 
  • Analyze campaign and product performance to optimize for the most mutually beneficial PCH-partner business results 
  • Delineate supporting technology needs and oversee their implementation, e.g., ad stack, Prebid implementation, ad refreshes, third party offers and overall ad stack knowledge
  • Serve as the Product Owner, working collaboratively all IT teams to maintain the long-term product roadmap
  • Build detailed technical specifications based on product and technical requirements and revenue and cost impacts
  • Working closely with the Portland and NY-based engineering team to make sure our backend and client facing systems meet expectations and timelines
  • Manage communications about launches of new products and platform technologies to internal teams and clients
  • Participate as “product expert” in select sales and client calls to respond to product and technical questions
  • Troubleshoot product issues that arise from day to day

 

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree required; Computer Science major preferred
  • Minimum 6 years experience in product management, ideally in advertising technology, digital media, or mobile application markets
  • Ability to create technical specifications for software that is understood by both business and tech teams
  • Ability to define and manage the development of innovative digital media products 
  • Knowledge around stitching identities and working on creation and usage of identify graph 
  • Understanding of and experience with story requirement creation 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong speaking and presentation abilities. 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment
  • Proven data-driven analytical skills and comfortable working in data-rich business environments
